Hey guys,
my little sister drives a 91 blazer with a 700r4 and it has been acting up for a while now. She never said anything about it till it got really bad so i went out to check the fluid levels. Tranny was almost dry! so i refilled it but the thing still doesn't want to shift past 2nd.
the car shifts and drives fine at any speed below 25 mph, but beyond that, it won't shift and will just rev to redline.
thoughts?

Same thing mine did. I see a new trans in your future. |

When my governor was sticking in my trans, it would just keep revving, never shifted out of first. Might be something to check, pretty easy to get to them (Pry off the mushroom cap on the driver's side of trans with a screw driver). If you pull the little weighted tab deals out, you should see the rod in the middle move.
ed- For some reason I read that as sticking in first. Still might be worth a check, and resetting TV _________________ 1991 Camaro RS - 454 BBC |
