| ok so i need to replace my outer tie rod ends, lower ball joints, the idler arm and control arm bushings, is this a difficult thing to do? im trying to save myself some cash by doing it myself but it seems kinda complicated. |

Pickle forks are okay but will tear the boots. Use a pry bar and put some pressure between the two pieces that are joined by the tie rods, or just use spring pressure (support the A-Arm for when the ball joint is disconnected).... use a big hammer... 2-4lb hammer. And give the joint a good few whacks. Works every time. You're distorting the taper of the joint and the tie rod end or ball joint pops right out. _________________ A redline a day keeps the carbon away! |

| Probably wouldn't hurt, since you're under there anyway. The control arms come out OK once the spring pressure is gone, but the bushings are quite difficult. I took my control arms and new bushings (off the car) to Schucks to have them put in. Charged me $50 for the pair IIRC. |
