Anyone here done the astro van shaft mod? Wanting to do that this weekend as I had to remove my shaft to replace the fuel lines. I am trying to figure out the best way to lengthen it. Any ideas? _________________ 2008 GMC Z71

| You take an astro van steering shaft, lengthen it to replace the camaro shaft. |

Nope. I used the UE ragjoint eliminator kit. _________________

I still don't see the desire in putting a solid rag joint in.... _________________ A redline a day keeps the carbon away! |

It gets rid of the rag joint completely. So less steering slop. |

Guess maybe cause I don't have slop in my rag joint..... Even "warn out" turn the wheel and watch the joint, slop is nihl. _________________ A redline a day keeps the carbon away! |

| I wouldn't really call what I had "slop", persay. More so, the joint "loaded up" and then moved. It wasn't a huge amount but it was worth a shot as getting rid of the last of my steering vagueness. I'll just need to break down and buy/rebuild my box at some point. |
