Just curious, are there any other RC junkies out there in crewbieville.
Electric, Nitro, On Road Off Road? I race them all! and was looking to see if anyone else was an RC junkie?
That might want to team up, i have a great indoor facility to race at (off road) and was thinking of putting a team together
CAUTION it's as much a sickness as the F-Bodies! Lots of fun, and Bullet Proof once you replace everything with Titanium and oversized..well everything!
Electric Trucks 0 to 40 mph in seconds!
Nitro car 0 to 60 in seconds! Absolutely INSANE....
Nitro Trucks 0 to 40 (gearing)
Nitro Truggie (Big blue) 0 to 45 (gearing) 15' BOOM 4WD SCREAMER!

Those look like alot of fun!! Probably quite easy once you get used to the controllers. I was into the indoor slot cars for a short time when I was stationed in Southern California. 1/16 scale cars IIRC, lots of fun if you could keep them on the track Laughing We (girlfriend, her kids and I) used the cars the facility had to rent.

Hey Al!! Yea it's a way good time for sure! And if you like working on cars / trucks, this is awesome! Pick up a stock vehicle and break the crap out of everything..replace it all with the good stuff and for the most part you are bullet proof and racing, it's nuts with 5 or 6 other racers on a dirt track or some warm asphalt...truly a rush.
Controllers are a pistol grip style, i have Spectrums, No Crystals required!! Just step and race!

Ya actualli I have a Traxxas nitro powered 3.3 revo. It moves. Does a top speed of 45mph. I was going to go with the jato which does 0-60 in 4.2 seconds and tops out at like 65. But sided with the monster truck so I can jump more insane and go off road more. It is so much fun. It does wheelies and its 4wd. I actually have to feather the throttle to keep it from flipping. My friend and I bought them at the same time so we usually race them together.

Here's a link of me just messing around with it real quick. Nothing insane, just a couple of wheelies.

Hey Cameron..Yea a dead igniter can really suck! I have one on the starter box and 1 that i keep in the pocket. Dude the Cuda is some cool shizzle! and the on road is just a rush!
I like to do the indoor off-road while the crap weather is here, and there is some sweet outdoor off-road tracks for the summer!
I have 2 10th scale 2WD losi trucks with some trick motors that hit 50mph in seconds! Jumps are fantastic 8' gap and 6' in height, i love that stuff what a rush!

Hey 302 eater, the Traxxis is a great machine and does get it on for sure. I had to back off the slip nut so i good get some serious traction with out pulling the wheelie. On the street it's a full back flip! I just rebuilt the tranny and clutch on my Losi truck, installed a new OS engine, that little thing turns a horsie and a 1/2, i have it geared to come out of the hole qucik and not as much top end 40 tops, but that truck will fly 15' through the air with no problem and hits 40 in like 4 seconds...I like taking the hole shot and the TQ...makes for a good race!

Ya I'm still kinda new to it. Haven't really raced it on a track. I just more or less take it out in fields and just let her rip. I also like jumping the crap out of it. I have had to replace two control arms on the front, I upgrader the shocks to gtr shocks, I threw on some long travel suspention and stiffer springs. Have had to replace a spur gear. I did tighten the slipper clutch up from stock. I could probably loosen it up a little but I like the ah of the wheelie. I like the tuning factor with these r/c cars. You can actually do almost everything to it that you could a actual car. And the aftermarket for them are a lot bigger then I had thought they would be, and cheap too. I'm using 20% nitro mix. What about you?

Well having 6-various vehicles, i have dumped a yack load of $$$ into them! Fortunately Smile 1 of my good customers owns HomeTown Hobbies / A-Main Raceway, i do a lot of tradeouts!!! He wants A-main gear, and i need parts. I think i have replaced about everything, upgraded too! the trucks are bullet proof for the most part.
The last major mod was the steering servos, hi-speed ball bearing with titanium gears...Way nice! same on the throttle servo, saved some weight but added more steering and quicker response time
My 18yr old son races his Losi 2WD and on occasion the ball cup up front might pop off on a hard hit corner or corner pipe barrier, it sucks but a quick fix, he drove and won with 1 tie rod on the front...LOL that was interesting. The motors are all Hot OS, with Trick pipes, Tie rods are all Titanium (Lunsford) same on the Truggie. I am running 30% in all the vehicles. The electric trucks are rockets and the new battery packs are always increasing in power, when i first started a matched 1500 was the shizzle, i just picked up 4 matched 4800's....Unreal! You have to wonder, why cant that technology be used in full size vehicles!

yeah i used to race them too.. i mostly raced at aero tho back when they were open. i played around at a-main a little bit, but never actually raced there. i had a HPI Nitro M/T 2 with an OS CVR-21 in it, with a ball bearing 3 speed, all JR electronics, metal geared servo's, hot bodies aluminum shocks..... you know the drill.

i was into them for a LONG time! i just got out of it about 6 months ago. i sold all of my stuff, my last truck was an XTM X-Factor that just sold.

Ya my next upgrade I want to do is water proof servo's so I can run it when its raining. I also want to try running a single inlet dual out tuned pipe. I think would look really cool. Hey a quick question for ya Rich, how often have you had to rebuild you engines? I have herd people usually get anywhere from 3 gallons to 5 gallons through them then its tear down time. Just want to see what you take might be. But you might go through them a little quicker since your mix is a little stronger.

Yo Charlie! i may have been on the dirt with you! I was a hardcore at Aero, the track sucked! but it got the job done. Tim at A-Main has been a buddy for years so i was always loyal on that one! Too bad you dumped the trucks! I was hoping to put a team together, my company would sponser and put hats and shirts on all the members and cove the entry fees and such....

Dude i've been running the OS at 30% for at least 2 seasons with NO rebuild! those motors are on the pricey side, but you don't have to do yack to them, just crank in a new glow plug and you're ready! My sons OS has 2 seasons of indoor and outdoor if you can believe it! no rebuild...just an occasional glow plug. His Losi i had to back off the slipper, that truck would pull wheelies at half throttle, no problem! Brakes and clutches differnt story but those motors are solid! The motor i have in the car is a bit differnt, the on road is brutal and hot, so you may have a differnt life there, but the off road is way tough! the tuned pipes make a huge difference in the engine life, and so does the air cleaner, along with more power it was the best investment i made...My kid likes to compete and win!

Hey Flea! Heck yea planes count...I have friends with the planes and helicopters...that is truly a great time! Planes take some getting used too, the stick controllers are what i started with back in the day. I have dabbled with the copters, but WOW that takes serious time to learn, and i feel really bad when i crashed my buds copter that he has UMPTEEN dollars into! OOOPPSSS Shocked

Take a balloon and shove your servo into it and bang waterproof! the main thing we use is Shoe Goo...talk about an amazing product! and all you have to do, is put a bead around the center where the servos meet, or on the screw holes depending on the servo. For the reciever try the ballon trick as well as the shoe goo, that thing will float!

I know what you mean about feeling bad. I once hit a guys 1000 dollar heli with my 200 plane. No fault kind of deal, we were playing tag, and thought he'd be clever and hover right in the pattern, I didn't see him till too late and put my 9.95 plastic wingtip through his rotor blade. I flew around and landed, He was down first Wink destroyed everything on that heli. broke the cylinder head off and all. Think of your truck engines, how tough is it to snap the head off one of those lol. Any way I did feel bad but thats the game You take a risk every time you fly and other than turning on the same frequency or something else so blatantly stupid the only recourse is to pick up the pieces and start over..

Hey Jason, yea wheelie effect is cool, but if you want to win it can be challenging! I was neck in neck with a dude last lap of the heat, and i think he would've won,
but he got all trigger happy down the stretch and yee-haw up came the front end...and kept going into a back flip! Laughing
Good for me though Very Happy then he started cussing at his truck...LOL like it was the trucks fault! it was comedy, the other drives on the stand found it humorous as well...
It reminded me of Adam Sandler in Happy Gilmore, when he would start cussing at his ball! it was like that Laughing so hard it hurts
What's a matter truck? are you to good to win truck? to good for your home?
