This is a continuation of this thread: http://www.cascadecrew.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=4797&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=
Sorry for the delay in getting this posted guys. Here are the details for next weekend's meet.
Please respond to the poll, but only if you plan to attend (if you're unsure, please vote still). This will tell us how many will be attending, and what food to get. If you plan to bring a guest, reply to this thread with a note.
When: Fri-Sun, August 15th-17th 2008
Where:
For those coming from the south, 5N to exit 181B. Go straight through a couple of lights and turn right on 196th. Go down a mile or so, and turn right on Locust way (just before going under an overpass). Left on 199th, immediate right on 13th. House is halfway up the hill on the right.
Call if you get lost, or with any questions.
Show details (Sunday August 17th) can be found here: http://www.allpontiacshow.com/
Who: Everyone! Spouses/Significant others included. Leave the kiddies at home.
What to bring:
Overnighters should bring a sleeping bag and sleeping gear (pillow, blanket, inflatable mattress for the fancy). There shuold be plenty of sleeping space (lots of floor and a couple of couches). No sleeping nekked.
BBQ attendees should bring their own alcohol.
Everyone is invited to bring their wit.
Details:
Friday night:
Festivities will begin Friday night after 6pm (I should be home from work between 5 and 6pm). Tim (Magman) should be here that night, and he and I will be doing some ECM work on his Iroc (WBO2 output through the ECM for logging). There's usually an ad-hoc car show with lots of nice vehicles down the road that we can attend. We'll keep the plans loose for later arrivals from any OR attendees. We can BS over some pizza, beer, and Xbox and hang out in the garage.
Saturday:
I'll have bagels, rolls, yogurt, whatever for breakfast. We'll aim to start the cruise at noon or so to give any other OR attendees time to show up in the morning.
I'm aiming for ~1.5 hours of cruising (last years was a bit long). Between myself, Jake, and another buddy of mine, we'll figure out a relatively relaxing and scenic route.
We'll aim to be back to BBQ/eat around 3pm (I know, that's more than 1.5 hours, but that's good for planning, as it gives us a little leeway).
For food, see the poll. We can do traditional BBQ, or go a little different with tacos/burritos/mexican/chips/salsa/refried beans. That should be awesome for eveyone spending the night. I can smell it already. As a third option, we can do a whole lotta spaghetti.
Saturday evening we can find some entertainment, either by making our own, or by finding some elsewhere. Unfortunately we don't have a hot tub. I can go buy a kiddie pool though. Would that work?
Sunday:
Sunday morning is the show. I believe we're too late for early registration, but if you want to show your car it's up to you to register. There is on-site registration. See this link: http://www.allpontiacshow.com/
Hopefully it won't be rained out like last year. |

PS - I'm always open to suggestions for Saturday evening entertainment (go karts again?) and/or modifications to the agenda.
Don't let not having your thirdgen in functioning order deter you from attending. Hitch a ride w/ someone. |

WooHoo! i'm pumped for this! i'll have a friend along for Friday but then i'm flyin solo for the rest so if someone needs a ride, they can cruise with me in Betty.
i'm in for the whole weekend. Also, just for kicks i swung by the car show that goes on every friday, and found people like to show up at around 5 ish and stay till evening(about 8ish)
I'll try and show up there as soon as i can after work friday, around 6, and meet some folks there.
its pretty simple to find. just take the 196th st exit and head west. it is a few blocks down on your left, just past the taco time.

It is mind baffling that a car stereo can make itself only play one song. its as if the car has a choice and that is the song SHE wants to hear! so i use my better judgment and try not to piss her off by changing it. I've made that mistake once, never will i do that again! |

No worries. I know you've had some recent developments that make it more difficult. We'd love to have you up, though.
Brandon - chime in - you expressed interest in the other thread. Are you still planning to make it? |

Just to concrete things, I've got the time off work and as long as my car doesn't break on the way up there (like cows...) I'll be there. |
