				Was wondering what size injector everyone thinks is good for running on a stock l98 tpi. On summit I see either 21 lbs or 24 lbs. Will I hurt myself if I run the 24's? They are the same price. Also Were would I find myself a L98 memcal? Thanks for any help guys.

				running a stock chip, i would run stock sized injectors. If you can tune it, then go with larger.

Isn't stock like 22lbs ??? (not a TPI guy) _________________

				I'm just giving numbers I found off of summit. My crate should be ready soon so I need to get these things. Also do you think it would benifit me to get a new harmonic balancer or should the stocker do? I cant tune or at least have never been shown how with tpi. Carbs Yes fuel injection not so much. Thanks for the response John. _________________ Thirdgenless |

				| What is the motor going in, if it is anything other than stock, you need to get started learning to tune it. The motor and HP, will also help pick the injector sizes. |

				Stock L98 is 22lbs/hr @ 41ish PSI.

Ford injectors are rated at a lower PSI. 39PSI. So if you got Ford 24lb/hr injectors they're more like 25.5lb/hr.

Go with the 21's and get an AFPR. |

				Lucky bugger is getting a nice crate.

He should be grateful.

To me! Muahaha.

This crate should be nice Timmy, the guy did the motor in our white 442 and you know how that thing runs.

This is true, however personally I would go with the larger ones, and burn a new chip at the same time. You're going to have to start burning chips sooner or later. |

				I finally found some ford 24lb injectors for mine. Cant wait to get them installed.

For now just to get it running, Id leave the stock ones in it. Then later as you play, add the 24's _________________ 2008 GMC Z71

				I don't think I can leave the stock 305 injectors in there cause its a 350 needing a little more fuel. And from what I was just told by dylans dad aka Pspec is that these l98's that this company rebuilds they throw a little more juice in them bumping them to 290 hp. If thats true then should the 21's still be good. And Paul where do you think I could get a l98 memcal from? _________________ Thirdgenless |

OK did you just get done watching a top gear episode, "bugger"? Anyways just talked to Pspec and he said that the builder said they rebuild them to a higher spec hp wise and he was wondering if I was ok with this? _________________ Thirdgenless |

				oh, forgot about the 305 to 350 swap part.

heres the actual formula for a N/A engine.

lb=(hp x .50)/(6.4)

lb=(290 x .50)/6.4)

lb=22.65

so toss in the 21lb and bump up the fp. _________________ 2008 GMC Z71

				Wow they went up. When I got mine a few years ago it was only like $45 from GMPD.

The lower numerical gear memcal should work fine.

I'd still get the adjustable AFPR so you can sort of dial in the "hopped up" motor you have. |

				I just ordered it right now and it's coming from Tennessee so that'll probably be saturday or tuesday (we don't get freight on mondays). I've got your number, I'll ring you when it comes in. |
