<rant>
This is my official honda rant.
First of all, I hate honda's. For the most part, they are small liter front wheel drive engined ECONO cars. Secondly, the people who follow them are on drugs of some sort.
Just for some history, my old room-mate has a 94 Civic that he just put a turbo V-tec 1.6l in. Transmission unknown. This guy used Crome, disabled open loop, and tuned it I dunno how. i think with this. The best I can figure he set the base afr to 15:1 and then changed the WOT table to whatever he could to prevent detonation. I'm not hating. The guy supposedly has a 10 sec 300-400hp CRX, but seriously I will enjoy eating these guys alive with my new project engine. This is the second engine my ex-roommate has gone through due to turbo stuff.
To make it even better, this is the kids only car. Granted, I have a couple cars to drive, but I would never do this to my DD.
Can anyone feel me on the import rice tech? Grr. No longer will I ever be bested by Japanese bs. I just need some love for my proposed 9 psi turbo 454 bbc th-400 camaro. Please vent if you would, I surely need it.

Just sounds like ghetto no knowledge tech, which is apparent in all forms of motorsports, not just the the Honda world...
Just help it blow it to the moon. _________________

Keep em stock, and they run forever. Kids buy them off our car lot for two very opposite and not compatible reasons.
1. They run nearly forever in stock form ( my last prelude had 249,000 Miles on it, original block everything, and still sold for 3500 dollars)
2. They want to look and/or go fast with good gas mileage?
Honda and Toyota are the two best made automobile products in the world, and I don't blame them for having a die hard sect of Fast and Furious fans who think they are fast, hell, some of them are done right and they move, but I understand your rant.
However, Chevrolet has the same obsessed fan groups who do almost exactly the same things the ricers do _________________

domestic rice is alive and well. redraif anyone?
and you better believe it's a 2.8 remember, you do not have to own a honda, o follow that "style". redraifs car is very well put together, but what a dishonor to the American car scene. _________________ 86' firebird (Junked in 2015). 88' GTA (sold in 2020).

Looks like the Spiderman trilogy threw up in that interior. I died a little looking at that.

| that has been the running consensus on TGO for about the last 4 years. everyone admires the work, but would not be seen driving it. it's one of the only thirdgens equiped with the 60*v6 trujio intake. quite a piece of work that intake. supposed to free up some top end with the shorter wider runners. |

If it was forced induction, like a turbo 6, I could see that being a worthwhile motor. _________________

wow, that thing is pretty gross. but before i get too far i'd just like to say, as much as i dislike this thing, i can't stand the thirdgen purists. I LOVE it when people take their cars and customize them to their liking and express themselves with it. I always see the posts "oh man that looks so bad you should drive it into a tree with you in it!" I mean we are talking about thirdgens here, who cares if it is an all original 1983 z28, if you want to hack off the front and put some crazy aftermarket one on there, then do it and don't listen to all the arrogant jerks who try and crush creative dreams. just my thoughts

I love it when I see you guys using these cars for what they were meant, to churn rubber and rumble pavement. Six speed swaps, 383s with 200 shots, C6 z06 wheels, brakes, etc...
They are a great platform for creativity. Jake is right. I really do hate the guys who try and sell them as "classic original" or " collectible."
They are not 69 Z28s, and never will be. If I won the lottery, I'd go buy every "collectible" 10k mile thirdgen and burn the tires till they popped in the owners driveway. _________________

And this is why I take so much shizzle for not having a spoiler and GFX.
I have my own idea about how third-gens should look, and 90% of the population has another. _________________

Or you would mark them up 50% and tell us how great they are. |

Hammer, you haven't done business with my family so don't begin to judge us.
I know a lot of people have been burned by dealers, so I understand the stigma.
I sell cars at face value, you really think I would invest in thirdgens and then be able to convince anyone, especially crewbies, that they were worth some wonderfully huge price?
7 Cars sold yesterday, I must of conned everyone of them. _________________

A what kind of intake? That looks like it was welded up by a one armed blind man. Or, like anything I've welded. And redraifs car is hideously ugly. I fully agree with the "To each his own" mantra but that's a little far. Just way too busy. _________________

It started as a 2.8. Buy the time the fiero intake was on(shown in pic) it was a 3.4, massive ported RWD heads, and a custom grind cam. IIRC, it dynoed close to 300 RWHP.
But agree, the rest of the car looked like ubber crap. |
