what do you all think of these? they are for the v6 car. my goals with these tires are all season traction while braking and turning. just daily driver tires. they are speed rated to 130MPH. i doubt i will ever exceed that, and to upgrade to a z rated tire would be about an extra 40$ a corner.

Same tires I'm running on the red 89. Pretty aggressive wet traction design that seems to do well. Can't say a whole lot about snow & ice, I tried to get to work a couple of weeks ago before the roads were sanded and had to turn around while trying to climb the hill leaving my place (I' sure you've seen the one). Use a narrower tread for the white stuff and you might be OK.

When the tires on the V6 wear out, I'll probably go with them on it too, just because I don't need the Z-rated tires on it.

The exact same tires are on the front of my car, but I've had two different models of Toyo Proxes on the back. Burnout

I would say the Kumho's aren't quite as good as the Toyos, but my high-end Proxes were almost twice as much, so no surprise there. I'll put some Proxes on the front when these ones wear out too. Very Happy

Winter driving with these tires on ice and snow is possible, but be very careful! Laughing

Wet condition driving on the other hand is excellent, nearly as good as dry. I worry about ice, but rain never even makes me break a sweat. Good choice for value tires I'd say. Buy 'em. Very Happy

shizzle... the reason i bought these in such a hurry is that i am making the drive down to kfalls tomorow and wanted somthing good for snow... oh well screw it. Very Happy

I said as much in my previous post that the snow traction wasn't real good, I had to turn around and go home after a couple of blocks and trying to climb that hill. Granted the road wasn't plowed or sanded at the time.

I think Kumho's should be fine for a daily driver, but I would never personally use them on my car.

They are cheap for a reason, I've seen them wear like hell on Tim's IROC when the previous owner bought all Kumhos.

I'm sure that there are exceptions, I don't blindly believe that all BF Goodrich products are perfect.

BUT, when I spend the money, the time researching, I have ended up with quality tires from them.

I don't like BFG anything other than their All Terrain tires.

Did Tim have the car aligned? Tire wear isn't just due to the tire itself!

I've had great luck with my Kumhos. I mean they aren't a race tire... but racing around on them for like 3-4 years now with many burnouts and they are just now below 50%.

Disaster struck, well misfortune anyway. i am backing my car out of the bay at the tire shoppe, and am greeted with a grinding, scraping noise, and the car is noticeably not moving as quickly as it should be. we pull the wheel off to find a mangled wheel weight. it was scraping the steering knuckle, that arm that sticks off the spindle and attaches to the tie rod. the tire guy recommends a sticky weight, i say go. wheel still scrapes, we pull it off to revel a shiny ring on the inside of the wheel lip.

so i am now rocking my 15" wheels on the front, and the 16" formie wheels on the back. i am going to have to take a grinder to the steering knuckle.

but man... even not moving.. that car looks GOOD with formula wheels.

You get four rears? That's what'll happen when you put rears on the front.

they may have just messed up front/rear the fronts in back wouldn't be really noticable, but the rears up front, would be an issue.

wait wait.... those wheels have different offsets???? i thought they were the same. Damit. i wanna be able to rotate these tires. suck ass....

ok, help me out... i can't find any "rear" or "front" lettering on these things.. where would it be?

for the record, i am talking about these wheels.

all of the 16" wheels should have a front/rear. You can run 4 fronts (like Mike and Paul), but you can not put rears in the front.

Just measure the backspacing, the front wheels should have a little less backspacing.
