What have you set your DFCO settings to? I'm wanting to change mine to something useable. Here are what I have.
DFCO Enable RPM 1350 RPM
DFCO Disable RPM 900 RPM
DFCO Disable RPM Decrease 2500RPM/sec
DFCO Enable MAP 23kpa
DFCO Enable MPH 18mph
I also have a table for DFCO Enable %TPS. Values under 5200 are under 10%. What should I change to make this a more useable feature? _________________ E30

I still dont know what DFCO is for. Havent adjusted mine, so it should be:
DFCO Enable RPM 1300 RPM
DFCO Disable RPM 900 RPM
DFCO Disable RPM Decrease ?? (cant find it)
DFCO Enable MAP this is a graph on mine ranging from 23 to 29.
DFCO Enable MPH 24Kmh (notice, metric) |

Deaccel Fuel CutOff IIRC.
I copied mine from the APYP BIN since it is different with a manual car, presumably to let you rev when engaging the clutch.
It hasen't given me any trouble, but it hasen't been throughly street tested yet either. |

Dewey said he moved his up to 1650rpm and it helped him get 32mpg hwy. Dunno how that would help. Looks like they are all pretty close from the factory though.
So if you're above 1300rpm, lower than 24kPA, and 20ish mph it will cut fuel. Sounds like it would save gas if you raised the kPA to say 30-40 it would come on under less of an engine brake? |

You need datalog your cruising info to find out where you cruise, the DFCO is just a small peice of the puzzle, there is also decel leaning, and hiway mode params that need to be set.
I'll post up the info I have, when I get home and can look at tha bin.

On the C950 the best setting for a stick car is for it to kick off .5sec after the throttle close and kick back in 400-500rpm above idle.
Works like a charm and saves some serious money. |

| Check this out. I'm comparing the Corvette bin to my camaro bin and noticed this difference. The DFCO %TPS enable for the camaro is 8-12% through the range but the corvette is 0.78%!!! That would make me believe that teh DFCO would be enabled anytime the throttle is lifted on the corvette, but the camaro would need a 12% change sometimes. Thats a big difference. I copied that and a bunch of WOT conditions from the corvette to the camaro. We'll see how it does. |

Throttle position and mass airflow are on the right axis. Can anyone explain why the right o2 reading was dead rich for a bit there? I'm going to datalog on my way home when I hit the highway and I'll try to avoid going over a tps of 1.5-2.0V |

What vette bin are you getting these numbers from?? The ARAP bin? If you are, then my copy of that bin is different. |

I made some of these changes to my DFCO settings and using my AutoXray scanner I can see how how the injector pulse width cuts off to zero in a fraction of a second. But, my shift light is now on all the time.
I'm going to put the other chip back in and see about how quickly the pulse width goes to zero for comparison on the way home from work. |

I'm not sure what the bin is named. How do you tell what it is?
I forgot to post the results from the corvette table swap. The car is way snappier for some reason. I got a good 5 minute data log of me being very light on the throttle. Moving the DFCO levels down made the car engine brake at a much lower rpm. It feels like a manual car now. Which isn't terrible. I haven't looked at the pulse width yet. I'll look at that tomorrow morning.
Will you be at the dyno alloy? I will be there so maybe we can compare more stuff. |

I wont be there. I was really hoping to have my new 355 together and in the car by dyno day, but the overtime offered and work is way too tempting to pass up$$$$
I reburned my chip and my shift light stopped acting up. So must have been a bad burn. I don't remember right now what I changed, but I could see the pulse width drop off a lot faster than before I made the changes.
I'm assuming the pulse width is how you would check on DFCO. I can't really think of another way to check it. Maybe Dewey or Paul can give us a suggestion of other ways to check on our progress in this area. |

My injector average was 4.5-5msec for the duration of the cruise. I maintained the speedlimit and didn't move the pedal hardly at all. What do you think I could improve on?
Starting on the upper left
Manifold temp
engine rpm
vehicle speed
MAP kPA
MAF g/sec
%TPS
left/right BPS msec |
