Since the IAC doesn't let out right behind the blades like a TPI setup,
....is the IAC outlet from the throttle body the orange line going back to the lower intake nipple which is Tee-d into the PCV?
Thanks

I only have two lines on the top of mine. One tees with the FPR and goes to the air pump, the other goes directly to the charcoal canister. I either don't have the green line shown, or I don't have the tee to the EGR (electric non-vacuum controlled)
As drawn, that orange line doesn't look like part of the vacuum manifold on the throttle body. I don't have a tee on either the PCV or the breather, the PCV goes directly to the lower intake by the brake booster manifold, and the breather hooks into the accordion hose in front of the throttle body. maybe the drawing shows how the manifold
Oh..
Looks like the 2.8 and 3.1 are slightly different where the PCV is concerned... This is the 3.1 routing

| Yeah the 2.8 and 3.1 have different throttle bodies and different IAC passage. I think yours does let out behind the butterflies like typical TPI systems. |

i always assumed the 2.8's let out behind the throttle blades as well. oddly enough i am way more familiar with TPI throttle boddies.
so i know you don't want too hear it, but TGO might actually be a good source for this. it seems somewhat less affected by the.. uhm.. downturn, that site has taken in the last few years, and there is still a sense of community amongst he vee-six crowd.
i have an extra throttle body around here somewhere i think. i'll see if i can fint it and blow some water through and see where it comes out. |

I know where the air comes out... I need to know where it goes back into the engine.
I tried TGO with the only luck being that diagram. Lots of how do I clean it and set it type stuff.
I completely disassembled the TB and the air comes in the front of the TB... hits the IAC... then leaves on the big fat nipple on the passenger side top of the TB. Not sure where it gets hooked up from there. |

Al, that IAC is actually (ironicaly) similer to the one on my Thunderbird.
BTW, I see you guys out in Bremerton got snow that actually stuck around for more than 20 minutes. |

Thanks Aaron. The tube I have is correct and will work great!
It DOES connect back there. :O)
I'll keep my eyes out for a 3.1L Throttle Body/IAC. Doesn't seem to answer that question in that post... but I can compare them at a JY. Then I can eliminate that tube. |

No it's not blue. I plugged off outlets and blew air threw them after it soaked in solvent.
If you take the IAC plate off the top, you'll see the inlet is in the front of the TB and the outlet is the big nipple. Not behind the blades.
When they went to the IAC like AL has (don't know if that's 3.1 specific) then it dumps behind the plate. |
