Not sure how many people are into adult swim, but there are many a fun cartoon to be seen on said show...

The Oblongs (Will Ferrell), Family Guy, Robot Chicken, Frisky Dingo, Space Ghost Coast to Coast (not shown too often anymore), Home Movies, and plenty more (plus some anime at the end of the night) .... but most importantly, the The most intense, blackest, most metal of shows... Metalocalypse...

The show was created by Brendon Small (who did Home Movies, for those who may have watched them)

First season is out on DVD today, YEAH WOOO!!!!

The show features many cameo's of metal bands, and makes fun of many others...

Voices in the actual show are done by a large variety of people... Brendon Small is 3 of the 5 band members, and a handful of other characters, Tommy Blacha (co-creator and wrote for Conan OBrien, Ali G Show, was also a WWF Creative Director, and did some of the TV Funhouse work for SNL) is 2 band members and a few others at random
Mark Hamill is 3 main characters, and a handful of appearances here and there, and some guy named Victor Brandt that I've never heard of until now, but apparently did voices for Superman, Batman, and Avatar animated series...

Cameo's from various metal bands include James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett from metallica, 3 members of the band Nevermore, King Diamond (from King Diamond and Mercyful Fate), former guitarist for Carcass and current guitarist for Arch Enemy (female metal singer, fvck yeah) Michael Amott, vocalist from Cannibal Corpse/Monstrosity George Fisher (aka corpsegrinder), Silenoz from Dimmur Borgir, and a few others...

The show is basically comedy, as it is a cartoon, but it takes a stab at a lot of black and death metal bands ... However, surprisingly, Brendon Small has a rather impressive talent of playing the guitar, and can put on a pretty good musical presentation ...

which leads into... well... the Dethalbum.

Easilly the best album for me this year, after following the cartoon for awhile now, and while probably not the best metal album ever, it's pretty damned good for what it spawns from.

The biggest thing for this album is an actual drummer, up until now, everything on the show was done by an electric drum kit... however, from Strapping Yound Lad, Dark Angel, Death and Old Man's Child fame... Gene Hoglan does some good drum work for the album ... and again, some good cameo work from Hetfield and Hammet and a few others

So, yeah... nothing automotive related... but, handful of songs to listen to, for those curious. (I tried to introduce Schultzy into them awhile back, linking videos from youtube, so here are a few of those too )

We used to make the bar owner switch all the big screens on in the Sports Bar to Space Ghost when it came on. That was years ago though. I youtube it every now and then. Lmao.
