So recently my breaks have started squeaking and for a while when i break the car shudders. So i went and bought new brake pads and rotors and i was lookin through TGO and read the rotor sticky and i was wondering if it's really necessary to go through all the hassle of putting new bearings and everything else in?
I was hoping to take a couple hours this weekend and just get it done w/ but now it's looking like it's gonna take more time and money

What the article on TGO say? I'd just check for bearing slop and at least repack them if not replace. Takes a few minutes per race to pound out. Or at you talking replacing rotors? Then, yeah, I'd slap some new bearings in there.

I'm w/ Ian. With new rotors it'd probably be a good idea to spend the 15 dollars or so for new inner and outer bearings. If you're on a real tight budget though, as long as the old bearings look OK, you can probably swap them over with no problems.

On a tight budget? The bearings are cheap in comparison to the rotors! I'd get new bearings cause its cheap and your there.
