|
|
So I'd like to go hit the Track this weekend. Saturday would be the best day for me, but I see on the PIR website, it says something about the Kumho Street Warriorz Drags. Is that just like any other night or is this something special?
If we can't go Sat, I'll go Fri.
DBLtake?
Ciao for now

Heres What's going on. This Saturday is the Kumho Street Warriors Drags. It is a very big event. To put it into proportion we usually have between 50 and 150 cars racing on a regular late night drag and maybe 200 spectators. 150 cars would be a busy night. last year, for the Kumho deal, we had nearly 500 cars racing and over 2000 spectators. We had to use the grassy area because we had so many cars to park. Most people who were drag racing that night only got 1 or 2 runs in....the whole night. It's a nightmare if you're working that night, but it would be really cool to come out and check everything out. I personally would not race on that night. It is way too hectic. Tech takes forever because the line is so long. it is a $15 flat fee whether you're spectating or racing though. there's also going to be a burnout contest, stereo drag, car show, and bikini contest going on throughout the night.
Heres the web site for this whole dealeo:

BTW, if you do plan on going you can get $5 discount coupon at America's Tire and Discount Tire Stores. I also noticed that they still have last years date and time for the show still on the Street Warrior web site. It's this Saturday only August 25th (sorry about the confusion), gates open at 4pm and entry fee to race and/or spectate is $15 and $5 extra to enter the Car and Audio Competition.
As far as I know Friday, August 24th is a regular early start late night drag!
Apologies for the earlier misinformation! _________________ Richmond 3.73 posi| 36/24 sway bars | SLP LM2 | Koni's | Ground Control 800/200 | Y2K wheels | Dyno Don headers & Y-pipe | airfoil | BBK underdrive pulleys | Raised strut mounts | Extended ball joints | LCARB'S
