|
|
Hello everone, Anyone have a good steering column laying around or a good wiper switch that I could swap out? My wiper switch is shot, also previous owner ran a wire from the switch directly to the starter by passing VATS, I think the PO screwed up since I have a steady draw on my battery. I now have the computer out so I thought I'd re-do his work...I'm thinking a complete column swap would be the easy route to go...
Thanks.

the wiper switch is easy to get too in the column once the column is out.. so if you can't find a column thats always an option... i could even help.. having done it a few times now. |

thanks appreciated the offer...I thought I'd read that there is a special tool for getting down to that level??? The Steering wheel should be easy to pull, but thought there were some pins or bolts or someting that required a special tool...
Was looking at the wiper switch yesterday...I know this isn't supposed to happen but the whole arm can be pulled right out...something within the housing must be broke? |

you will need a lock ring depressor, and if you have an airbag a set of c-clip pliers. both of which i have, and will lend to a crewbie in need.
also, i have a spare column parts as well.. and if the one you buy off bart is not equiped just right we can kitbash your two columns together and make one good one from the two bad ones and my spare parts.

Tony, thanks for offerring, I may need to take you up on the lock ring depressor, Bart's steering column is complete except for the wheel...which I have...sounds like it may be a complete bolt in setup...
