You may have to lose some money on that. Even the excellent ones are going on the boards for less than $100. I paid $60 for the one I have.
Chris, if you need just the gas gauge, I'll see if I can pull mine out of the car before this weekend and remove the gas gauge (I haven't put my new cluster in yet). It tends to read low, I don't know if it's the sender or the gauge. _________________ 92 Camaro

Al,
Sounds great about the Gas Gauge. I don't think I'll be making the All pontiac show this weekend so I can go to the one down at Rod's.
I can pay shipping, OR if one of you portland dudes would be willing to snag that for me, I can grab it from you sometime next week? _________________

Hey Chris, I just got done putting in the new gauges. I have to take it for a drive to see how it goes, but just moving it from the driveway to the street, the fuel gauge acted erratic. Probably just a connection as Paul assured me they all work. Even if the fuel gauge doesn't work, the trip meter does, and I know about how far I can go on a tank. _________________ 92 Camaro

Fuel gauge worked fine for me.
Is it the same style as your old cluster? Might try that gauge if all else fails?
I know with those sometimes if you don't get them all the way seated and then secure with the two 10MM slash nuts, poor connections can ensue.
That speedo was calibrated a few years ago so you should be way good to go. |

Thanks Paul. That's exactly what I was thinking. I've had trouble before with the harness moving around a bit before, might even be too tight I'll have to pull it out and reseat the cluster. _________________ 92 Camaro

Get yours working first, then whichever is left over, I'll try. _________________

I think it's just a connection issue with the harness. Even so, if I need to, I can find another at one of the local JY. I have it with me today ready for someone to pick up. _________________ 92 Camaro

Al,
I couldn't remember if Aaron was coming or not, but tony has a wiring harness, a shifter boot and some other stuff for him, you two could just exchange parts, and aaron can get his stuff from you, and I can get the fuel gauge from Tony.
If Aaron is there obviously tony will give my parts to him directly. _________________
