Well we decided to finally quit just talking about it, and to finally get the ball rolling on a Southern Oregon gathering. It looks like the only way I can be sure of the time off is to go with Labor Day weekend, which is September 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Unfortunately I know that Mike has other plans that weekend, but that is a busy time.
Was thinking that people could drive down on Saturday and we could BS and BBQ Saturday night. Sunday we would take a cruise up to Crater Lake and drive around the rim, should make for some great photo opps.
After the cruise we could come back here for more beer, BBQ, and BS. Then people could head out Monday. We can always come up with more activities if needed. Also it would be fine if some wanted to drive down Friday, just won't be anyone home till 5:00pm.
Tents might be a good idea as the weather should be great and we don't have much floor space in out little house. Parking shouldn't be a problem.
So who is interested? We don't need confirmed numbers, just wanted to give you guys some time to prepare. Heck, even if nobody comes down I think we'll take the drive up to Crater Lake ourselves! |

I would have to say I am 50/50, it will depend on how some things go. I may be moving that weekend if things go right....
If I don't have to be here in Portland that weekend, I'll be down there for sure. |

I can't vote this minute now either. Will depend on where I'm working at the time. It'd be a down friday night back up on sunday thing if I could swing it. |

I will already be in Klamath Falls for a family reunion. I might be able to sneak out for a little while and play.
Either way, thanks for getting another gathering going.

We figured that this would either work out really well, or not at all. Hope you can sneak out for a bit. _________________

I put in for and got approved for Friday - Tuesday I'll be down for sure. Wouldn't mind getting together with some other crewbies for the cruise down on Friday and fight the holiday traffic!! _________________ 92 Camaro

It's less than 5 minutes driving time, you could probably walk there in about 10-15 minutes. Very close _________________

I need to button up a few more things on the car, and then I'll have a final answer if I'm going.
Looks like I might be driving almost 250 miles w/o a hood too! _________________
