P.S. Your insurance rates usually go down when you go 'over the hill' at 25 _________________ Red Sled: 89 GTA, 383, TKO, N2O

Glad your in Rod . I do look forward to cheaper insurance I just dont think.... Well,24 sounds... Old... I guess ... It's almost as if... I dunno,am I an adult now or what? Or did that come at 21?lol... And Schultzy, hit me up when you land in K. Falls man! I'll PM ya my # if you'd like.
Am I hitting my mid life crisis early or something? I'd rather skip these silly 20's and go straight to my 40's or something as I cant even imagine how badly I'll be flipping out when I hit my 30's let alone 25! I dont wanna grow old.... I wanna life fast and die young but as usual life has to throw a wrench in to the whole damn opperation and keep me lingering around... But then again I dont have a Corvette so the whole "life fast & die young" theory is kinda shot until then. LMAO .
Wait... Schultzy.... Did you say *gasp*... Over the hill at 25?????? Oh jesus its begun!!!
LOL,J/K... Take care all But seriously peoples... it is kinda scary... _________________ 89 Firebird 2.8 (white)

hehe it's all good Steven. I think a lot of us have had that experience of waking up and going - holy crap, never even thought about making it to x years.
You'll be fine. Get a pet duck or something.

I think most people here were surprised I had made it to 21... much less nearing 26 in September... I know my family certainly was.
I just look at a birthday as any other day, it usually goes unnoticed by most unless they're directly involved in my life somehow, and even then, it's got to be more on a personal level, most people I know or even work with still think I'm 18 or 19
You're nearing the age where you suddenly realize all your playing has gotten you less than you anticipated, and you've got to grow from that, put new experiences under your belt...
everyone is different of course, but in general, people grow up when they're good and ready, not because somebody expects them to. It's taken me from being basically a hobbit shut up in my little hole up in Washington, to a thriving something or other down in Houston, and I'm ready to take my life up again further and move closer to home... this place has run out of thrills for me |

Maybe thats it. I cant help but reflect and ask what I could have done better. Life is such a strange, painful and funny thing, but one can not consider life to be anything less than amazing. I wouldnt trade my experiences in this world for anything (my friends & family ... nancy .... A ride in Rod's awesome Z28 <--rod, <-- steve ,simply unforgetable...).
But your right,my actions havent exactly gotten me in the best of situations. Always learning something new, even though it's usually a "one step forward, two steps back" type thing if you catch me.
Even mom thinks I'm crazy for thinking this way but.... At 24 shouldnt you pretty much be established in life? With a crazy awesome career,a wife and kids and all that? Or is that later in life? I dont get it... This may be a stupid thread but I do appreciate all input . _________________ 89 Firebird 2.8 (white)

even at 18 i thought 24 was too young to be married. i always told myself even if i met "the one" ate twenty i would wait until 25 to marry her. i am now 23 and still have not found the one. i can not imagine getting married in the next 3 years. perhaps 5..
24 is not that old. i have a friend who is 33, and is living his life in about the same situation as he was at 23. when i first met him i thought he was in his mid twenties.. you grow old when you are ready.
have a good birthday. |

I catch you on that one, believe me, every time you feel like something you did is doing well, suddenly two other things slap you back in the face and go wrong.
at 24 in this new generation for us (not them older folk ), very few people are established in life... most aren't out of school or haven't gone to school for whatever reason, and a wife and kids is rushing it at that age for so many of them. More around our ages (say, 21-2 are still living at home, either going to school or working menial jobs at best... we're a lazy computerized generation who take far too many things for granted (moreso than many of the other generation) and we still think we're invincible...
sadly, we're not.
it just depends on when you feel like growing up though... I changed my entire situation about me and more or less forced myself into it... best thing I've ever done for myself.
on a side note... Hot Tamales ICE taste like you're eating toothpast. |

25's not bad, you do get an insurance discount (or I did).
30 is where it hurts. |
