Well guys, this is my last post for the summer, im off to Basic. Wish me luck, Ill need it!

When I get back, I am going to start the stroker build. Cant wait Smile

Well, I figured by now I would be on a plane and/or in Oaklahoma by now, but they still have me sitting in a hotel in Seatac till tomorrow morning, when they expect me to wake up at 3:00 am. Lol, it will be hecka fun.

I miss my car, steak, and the smell of burning rubber....

Well, I graduated today, they are flying me back home sunday. My car sat for three months, collecting dust, aperently one of my tires went flat and it hasnt been started for the whole time....

$3000 worth of Army Basic Training money though, time for some SERIUS modifications.

Im planning on doing suspension first, then brakes/posi, then setting up a custom exhaust (got to do some research on that) and then my MSD setup, then wheels and tires, then prolly do my actual engine swap AFTER the training next summer.

I have had another thought bouncing around my head to, maybe ya'll can tell me what ya think of it.

My car gets good milage, its nice and quiet, everything works, its nice. However, its a TBI 305, with alot of miles on it.

I have never done anything real in-depth with cars, and I kinda worry about messing up a very nice car. Also, I crunched some numbers, and I might be better off picking up an early third gen, something that was factory carborated, find one with a blow head gasket or something like that, then drop the 383 into that instead. This would make it alot simpler for a kid that doesnt know exactly what he is doing yet! I could get the "Victem" for about $500, cuzz I would take that car and pull all the interior out and make it a real street rod.

Keep the 91 for dates and a daily driver, the other one would get 9 mpg, but pund out GOBS of Horse Power.

not a bad idea. i have two cars as well. if you have the money go for it. then you can make extensive work and still have a car.

Whether you mod your current car or not, you'll still need a daily. I was daily driving my IROC till the tranny blew up, and it was nothing but a pain having to rush every job to get the car running by six the next morning.

Plus, if you get a new car, you can have a TPI stroker. Very Happy
