past couple days have been real long, had to get my 69 charger ready for the body shop which meant long nights of disassembly, bagging, labeling, and taking a picture of every nut and bolt before it came off the car. got the car loaded up and heading down south to the shop now. took the nice weather opportunity to take some pics of the yellow birdy for you guys though:

Trans Am's have the scoop. Base birds, formulas, and GTA's do not.

they are called "air extractors". the idea is that they will pull hot air out of the engine bay. but the funny thing is, they are not functional on 3rd gens. the open into a wall of sheet metal. Rolling Eyes corvettes have functional ones.

just like the "air extractors" on the hoods of T/As and GTA's. they provide verry little air extraction. i know when my alternator blew up (almost caught fire!) that there was alot of smoke pouring out of them.... Laughing

the front louvers do nothin accept allow water into my hood, which usually drips on my n4ech as i lean into the engine bay Mad

Your Trans Am is beautiful and angular; and if it was a gas, it would be be inert.
