So, for the few of you who read the last thread, this is the update thread.

if you recall, the SS started off with a stock exhaust
http://www.demonofdreams.org/Camaro/StockExhaust.avi

then moved into the realm of the GMMG Catback system
http://www.demonofdreams.org/Camaro/GMMGExhaust.avi

Now, we're in a whole new world... gone are the manifolds, cats and ever suffocating flat crushed Y pipe (you thought the stock Y's on the 3rdgens were bad, heh) ... installed are some beautiful stainless steel long tubes and a stainless 3" Y without cats...

firing it up this morning... camera was being a POS but fixed itself after I had taken this vid, so just picture the same back end Laughing

going out for a drive down westheimer
http://www.demonofdreams.org/Camaro/GMMGLTDrive1.avi

under I-59 going to a courthouse for some registration papers on the girlyfriends car
http://www.demonofdreams.org/Camaro/GMMGLTDrive2.avi

alongside I-59 heading towards girlyfriends work for lunch
http://www.demonofdreams.org/Camaro/GMMGLTDrive3.avi

the increase of power is noticeable by more than just seat of pants feel, I unleashed something new with this car, considering it only has 22k miles and was bone stock when I got it, the catalytic converters seemed to have been having a problem... felt sluggish more recently and was running fairly poorly...

the good thing is, I don't have a miss, I'm only throwing codes for the AIR system (which I trashed) and the rear O2 sensors (which are no longer anywhere to be seen) ... all I have is a small leak on the exhaust at the intermediate pipe, will have a shop close it up later.

my gas mileage will suffer, oh yes, it will...
it'll be at least a month until I get it tuned ... and with gas prices ever rising now, I am now going to cry, as I drive 98% on the street and very very little highway

most certainly ... I can actually go about it one of two ways... the cheap, untuned way of getting just the codes themselves deleted for about $100 (ends up being like 15 codes), or I can just wait and go to MTI and spend $500 for a full dyno tune which would also include the code deletes as well as some other misc things

it'll definitely need a tune though... tomorrow afternoon if I've got time, I'm going to stick a ported throttle body onto it, and see how well that goes.

So, I installed my ported throttle body because I had nothing better to do, and sprayed out my MAF as well...

it idles less roughly, and throttle response doesn't seem to be like my stocker, but one assumes it's just because it has to relearn the idle again for the new air flow...

my gas mileage is going straight to the shitter Laughing Embarassed
