Finally got started on Jen's car tonight, and we made pretty good progress tonight. Alot of fun working on it together. Hopefully tomarrow we get a lot done on it. First thing tomarrow I'll pull the rear end while Jenn takes apart the interior.

Transmission out

Empty

3.73 gears from Bart's old Trans Am. Even went all out and got a shim kit for the rear end. Figured it couldn't hurt to have them on hand. Also got a solid bearing spacer.

Had a pretty good day on it today. Jen got the pedals and hydraulics put in and the center console removed. I pulled the rear end and installed the posi and gears. Hopefully tomarrow night we'll stick the tranny in so I can mark where to cut the shifter hole. Also have to order a shifter and a new cat back. Hoping to finish it by next weekend.

Console out

Pedals in

Rear end out

Wow. Looks like you're progressing very well. Keep us updated. I'm particularly interested as I may be doing a tranny swap within the year.

So I realized tonight why Rodney likes working on his car so much, not only for the satisfaction of making it better but also for the cool new toys....

Had to get a new press to get the bearing off the pinion gear

You do know the only difference between men and boys are the price and size of their toys don't you? Wink

Awesome!

It'll be nice to see the McGee's both in F-bodies this year!

You'll love the 3.73/5 speed combo, Jenn. Best two modifications I've done to my car to date. Thumbs up

I don't know for sure but the cam is next. Most likely before the end of summer.

It's a ZOOM Clutch, it's the one that came out of Rodney's car when he got the Centerforce.
