Well, I figured if I was going to replace bearings...
I was worried about overcamming the 383 but the ultradyne has been pretty mild. Maybe now I will have overcammed?

NICE! that thing just keeps getting faster. seems like ever since IZCAIN started posting you have been dumping money in to go fast parts. i seem to remember a conversation at cows last year that ended with you announcing it was time for some look good parts. i think the only thing purchased since then that is a "look good" part is that hood. I'm on to you.
so speaking of "go fast" parts.... what are you doing with the old "mild cam"? _________________ 86' firebird (Junked in 2015). 88' GTA (sold in 2020).

No way Tony. We all know that my car is all show and no go. Oh and I am not going to chase a drag car that runs 9's but speed is addictive - there is a reason that they call it a sickness.
The hood was a fluke but should be some fun.
As far as the ultradyne cam, we'll see. If this one is too much (can there be such a thing?) then I may stick it back in. I think I have the L98 cam somewhere in the garage and the LT4 hot cam is in there too but not sure if it is safe to run or not.
Truth be told my main goal was to get the car in a state that I could go out on the road course. Still waiting for my brake kit from Ed Miller and then I am going to have to have a garage sale to get money for my shocks/struts. Good to go after that

Lunati Voodoo. SCHAWWEEET!!
Considering a sticking a 262/268 Voodoo in the next motor (after Mr. Blowby goes kaput).
I know you did some new springs/locks/retainers recently, are they gonna be able to handle that much lift?
what were the specs on the cam that's in there now? _________________

Ya I checked with Lunati on my beehives - should be ok. There is a possibility of a clearance problem with valve seals but I think it will be ok. The height/coil bind/rate specs are all ok according to Steve at Lunati.
Current cam is 230/238 @ .050 w/.565 lift. Thinking that the higher lift may also take advantage of the AFR's.
Kind of a whim. Hardcore said I was a whimp if I didn't run the voodoo This is the bestest kind of peer pressure, well, second only to a drinking throw down extended by ChainSaw! Actually, after watching him roll around in his own urine not sure that I want to count the guy in my peer group
By the way kids, Party With The Cows VI coming up lololol

In all reality it's not much bigger than mine. Lift is considerably though.

With a little lash to subtract on smaller cubes. I bet the drivability will be comparable. |

Hey, I hope you are right on the driveability thing. I am getting excited about getting the bearings taken care of so I can drive this thing. The new cam is just a bonus.
My neighbor just put a crate 390hp 360 crate in his roadrunner. Everytime I hear him come and go it makes me want to drive my car.

nah, wasn't being facitious or anything. Just wondering what his valvetrain setup was like now, VS what it'd be like with the new Voodoo.
Carb's R Good. Always better than Port injection.
Just ask Rod since he keeps winning. _________________

it was meant to be facitious.
that trap time aaron quoted was with with the TH350 though and not the T-56.
either way, that's still faster that what I'm bringing. _________________

That ET was with about 310 horse... Not 346 :O)
But Rod still couldn't beat me when I had the stick. Then he shreaded his slick. Very sad. |

Hmm I thought you didn't think the 346hp figure was 100% accurate?
Either way, its on the dynograph so its techincally "proven". _________________
