I'm headed down to Bremerton for an Autocross this weekend and need a new column for my 89 LT1. Tilt would be great, but not needed. It has no cruise, but int. wipers. I'll be swapping out the key cylinder so you don't need the keys. But I'll take them if you have them. VATS has been bypassed already.

The original column had the bearing grenaded. i have no idea how the previous owner did it, but both the inner and outer bearings in the tilt are missing balls, bearing keeps were cracked and broken. I found enough bearing balls to make the outer bearing stay still, but the inner one is almost missing. It drives fine, but has some slop, as you would imagine.

So if anyone has one I'd buy one this weekend while I'm down south since noone lives as north as me except for droptop.

I've got one at my mothers house in Monroe if you want to make the drive... it's just sitting in the rafters ... its a tilt wheel column with wheel from an 83 Z28 ... not sure how good the connectors are on it but I believe you can swap those if need be. You can just leave my mom 20 bucks or something and its yours haha...

no idea if you want to make the trek out there or not though

I have a column no tilt. Has high and low wipers. I live on whidbey island. I dont have a key but its not put in yet. Seems farily tight. Maybe a litle up and down movement. but not excessive. Asking 30.00

Monroe is a bit out of the way.

It doesn't have int wipers, just hi/low/off? If its something like 1/4" of play I can't use it. Autocross Tech inspectors will catch something like and won't let you race if it has excessive slop.

has less than a quater inch. Has high low and off on the wipers. Come take it look its still on the car. You can judge for yourself.
