Spent most of the day out messing with the car. Got a used set of hatch hinges off ebay, they arrived friday. Just in time for me to get something done. These hinges were like my old ones and fit much much better. Still had a few tweeks to do before I got the hatch to fit though. Check it out!

Lookit this.. without the spoiler on, one strut will hold the hatch up!

Nice and flush...

Yesterday I went and bought paint. Going to respray the whole car. Dang it costs a fortune. Same paint I used last time, gallon of color, gallon of clear, hardeners, and reducers..... $635!!!!!

looks like she's on her way B! Might have just been the lighting but it looks like the tail pannel isn't 100% straight yet on the passenger side. Hatch looks pretty well aligned though!

keep posting with the progress!

Pics were taken all during the work. So not sure if I'd finished the panel at that time or not. I still have a few tweeks to do to get the taillights aligned properly. BTW those taillights are crap, bought them off ebay and they're all broken up.. but they do make good test fittings.

That's a porta-power. Has a seperate hydraulic unit and then there's different attachments. You can make that particular jack like 8ft long if you want. There's all kinds of different feet you can put on it depending on how you want to push. There's also a hand little alligator jaw thing that will fit in small cracks and spread them. The jack itself is 10ton. This one I borrowed from dad.. but think I'm putting it on my christmas wishlist. I wish we had a pulling attachment though. That could be handy at times.

I'll second the puller attachment being neat to have. I got my porta power from a rental outfit that was closing down. $70 for the whole kit. Used it earlier this year to straighten out the front of my truck after I hit a deer.
