So did anyone see pinks last night???
I watched two back to back.
But there was one with a 3rd generation. it was pretty cool.
383 with two stage NOS, he one.........Ouch for the other guys.....
We sure like that show, but can't always see why, they agree to those terms, like 4 car lengths, if they don't really want to do that.......man its your car dude….

Looks like hard love some times...... but fun to watch.

tell me about it, if i smoked some other guy by 6 carlengths I would be like "hell no i aint giving you a head start, i kicked your ass now gimme your keys!"
I just hate the fact that somene with a slower car can actually win the other guy's ride.

ps. great show though! Razz

I actually hate that show. If it was pure heads-up it would be cool, but the fact that they try and make it into bracket racing just cheapens the entire thing. Jake is right, I hate it when a slower car wins just based off of a cheap lead or sandbagging on the early runs.

If it was true off the line racing I would watch it much more.

I just thought it was way cool to see a 3rd G camaro on there, and by the looks of it, a street car to boot. (tough to tell some times)

70ish chevelle big block 2 stage NOS.
He had some problems with the car, then with getting it to hook up,
The one run that he ran well, he spanked that Camaro....but in the end He lost.....

The one thing that I don't like about that show is the disrespect to one another at the so call negotiations.....you know……..the attitudes...

A car that was previously on pinks was a friend of mine (he's the one helping me with my bodywork) We put the engine in the car in my garage....... It was a Orange flamed (gulp) civic........ LOL he lost but I really think it was unfair. His car has a H22 swap with nitrous and slicks and all sorts of other goodies but it was no match to the 80's fox body running 9 flats they teamed him up against. He lost but broke the car when he did so.... A couple of months l8ter and after a lot of negociations he was able to buy the car back from the people who beat him.

Now the car is back here and needs a transmission.

By the sound of it once you sign the title over before the show you dont really have a lot of room to fight since if they are pushing for one thing or another you have to give in or call a forfet and they take your keys... I think the show is stupid in that respect. Should be heads up run what you brung but should also be like car for like car!

What a stupid premise for a show...........Top fuel guys don't lose there cars when they lose one race or a bracket.

They should make them compete in classes, doing bracket races, for like prize money or something.

no way in hell I'd ever race my car for pinks. Especally not with the way they have things setup.

I watch the show, thats why i want to see the pinks all out on thanksgiving day, i guess it nots going to be all the time though, heads up run what ya brung, 9.00 - 9.99 heads up thats it for CASH. But on normal pinks its more like a street race even though you will never be given lenghs in a street race lol, but its not always the fastest car that wins, its all about the driver. And alot of guys street race for alot of money and they will try and trick the other guy as much as possable. but i also hate watching the sandbagging on that show. But also the guy with the civic could have backed out and not signed his title over lol. Now im trying to reamber if it was that civic or anouther that was tryen to clame 400hp or somethen? Im thinking it was not that one though. Also most of the cars on there now are shops that put them togeather with sponsers(sp) 2 guys from maliburacing.com that i go to alot where on upcoming pinks shows. And the other thing I laugh at is, is your going on a show where your racen for titles, you better not be bringing anything slower then a 10.5 car other wise your wasting your time and losing a car, besides for the import vs import races i have not seen a single import car walk away with a car. So bring a race car not a 13 sec import lol. wow that was alot of typeing lol

ps izcain what i wrote is in no disrespect to your buddys car hehe was just talking in general.

Oh it's all good nathen, I was telling him not to do it in the first place the minute they called me on the phone and told me the other cars setup. They were in the pits calling me and telling me what he was running as they were exchanging looks at each others cars and all I could say was go tell brandon to get his title and RUN lol.

Well behind the scenes on pinks it is little bit different there Nathen, First off the civic was told he would be racing another like car that was within his bracket range. Secondly his bracket range is 11.80-12.30 since that what he consistantly runsnot 13s. Alot of imports are only 13 second rides however this one is not. I agree with you that imports have not ever won anything. But I also feel that they are constantly comparing apples to oranges. In the beginning of the pinks episodes the cars on there ranged and not all of them were in the 9 second zone. Now they just have high priced race cars that a lot of the average racers could not compete with.

And lastly in different street races it has been known to stage cars diffrently. I myself have given up lengths for cars. Used to be really into street racing but decided to get out of it before something stupid happens so now it stays at the track.

Yes, I saw that show last August. It was pretty good! That Camaro was a serious sleeper! Even the show hosts said it was a real sleeper.

I only have basic cable at home so the only time I get to watch it is in a hotel on the road. I wish I could watch it more often. But a person must be loose in the brain or on a serious ego trip to actually race for the title to their car. The reward vs. risk just isn't in good proportion.
