I picked up a pair of high back buckets for the 89 today. I still need to remove the tracks from the old ones and drill a new hole before I move them over. They appear to be a little lower than stock, so that should give me a little more headroom Very Happy Later I'll have to get the rear seats and door panels recovered to match.

Here's what I have now

The ones I picked up today

Looks good. So are you going to put in black back seats or are those coming out for the roll bar? Cool

Thanks. Plan for now is to recover the back seats and door panels to match. Weather permitting, since I have carpet to put in also, I may start on this tomorrow.

I didn't catch the brand name on them, but I sat in one in the store. More solid and comfortable than the stockers in there now. Had the second one out of the box and in the back of the car before they were even paid for.

I have them in now. Didn't change the carpet yet. Only did the seats, they need to come out again later to put shallower tracks on. The stock ones are just a little high for me. They are a little more difficult to climb in and out of, but much more comfortable. Just the seats alone made a BIG improvement on the interior looks.

I'm tall enough so that is not really a problem. After I replace the headliner, I intend to thread the shoulder strap through the hole in the seat back.

Definately an improvement over stock!

Looks pretty similar to mine and schultzy's

I had a friend transfer the stock mounting hardware to the new slides today. Except for the driver's seat, it was relatively easy, removed them by knocking out the rivets, welded them to the new slides. Since the front mount on the driver's side is part of the slide, he had to fabricate a mount. Now, when I adjust the seat all the way to the rear, I can't reach the pedals! Much more comfortable that way too.

Here's my new fabricated mount for the front side of the driver's seat. Same on the other side of the seat.
