I decided that before I continue in the pursuit of speed the car needed some much needed attention to the outside. So I have decided to fix all the dents and repaint everything. I am keeping the black but adding a LOT of blue pearl to the paint as well as changing the rocker covers to a shade of blue along with blue stripes running up the hood and wrapping onto the fenders. Should look good when finished but still a ways off. Anyways here are a couple of pics of me just getting started on it. Im shaving the attenna off as well. These were at the start of the disassembly. now the fenders, doors, ground fx, and t-tops w/ all interior are out. Lotsa work but hope it pays off.
the car so far has only some slight surface rust behind the fenders which I am taking care of. Now I think I will acually get on it and change the drivers side power window motor while the doors are off lol. Maybe also free up the passenger side lock since you can only unlock the doors from the drivers side lol. _________________

YEAH for new paint!!!! I love the idea of a custom job too, even though I have no idea what you are talking about.
Also good call on the antenae shave, i did it myself when i painted mine. Looks so clean. keep up the good work, it'll all pay off in the end!

well unfortunetly the antenna doesn't work. Yea the stripes are kinda hard to explain. Their going to come up the hood wrap onto the fenders and doors and come to a point right at the back of the door. Ill try to find pics of the scheme and post them but I have yet to find anything close to that on one of our cars so far. Thanks for the support guys. If I was to post this on TGO I would get about a 100 people talkin crap and bein rude. I love that site but I see alot of people on their gettin bashed as of late. _________________

| TGO lacks a sense of community. sertain sub-forums have it sometimes. i have always found the v6 guys quite nice. i am sure some of the region boards are cool too, but as a whole.... |

Yeah, TGO is going downhill. Actualy this site is getting enough people now, that betwen the group, almost any technical question can get answered.
BTW, I can't wait to see the car with the new paint, between that, and that killer drag-race stance it has, it should look awsome. |

| we have dyno coming up in january-ish. there is a thread a bit farther down where we are planning the date. last weekend of january seems to be the decided on date. though if you have issue with that day better to say somthing now then to miss out going later on. |

| The next large get together, is probably going to be the Dyno Day, sometime in January, and in Portland. I haven't confirmed dates yet, but it did seem like there is enough interest in it. To really make it worth it, we need to get 12-15 confirmed cars to dyno. |

| We would love to have you guys show up. The dyno is really a great first event, because there is so much focus on the cars, its easier than diving into just a social event (I think anyway). Keep an eye out, I'll post confirmed dates well in advance, so that people have time to ask for a day or two off, if they felt like they want to do that. But, almost everthing happens on saturday/sunday. |

It also seems like the Pugeot Sound area crewbies are really stepping up to the plate in planning an event this year....It'd be awesome those guys put more together...hell, even the North of the Border guys pulled an event together this year....it'd be sweet to have more of it... _________________

Quick off-topic question... how much does it cost for a dyno run per car? |

I haven't talked to Steve at McGee's yet. But IIRC last year it was $65, that gets you 3 pulls, with WB02 readouts.
Also, if you have a car other than your thirdgen, feel free to bring it (unless it is AWD or Diesel), they can't take AWD or Diesels)
It is a pretty good value, and the WB readout is nice to have for tuning purposes. It is a TON of fun, everyone who has ever gone has enjoyed it. Even if you don't run, it is a lot of fun to see all the cars up and going on the dyno. |

Cool. It would be funny just to put the 170K mile V6 Bird up there for a pull. |
