The GTA is back on the road. Drove it to work this morning for the first time in a couple years, and drove it last night again for the first time in a while. Just had to put a new battery in and she fired right up. And oh boy, did I miss driving that thing - felt so nice to go around a corner and not feel any body roll I'll have a smile on my face for a while. Just need to find some good seats, a non AC heater box, a new radio pod and figure out how to fix the e-brake and she'll be more pleasant to drive till more power can find its way under the hood.

Sweet! I always liked your GTA. Although, with the R6, I image it was hard to get motivated to get the GTA done.
So, is the plan, to paint the nose/fender, and then think big poncho power? |

I rattle canned the fender a couple years ago, so it looks decent enough now that its not ugly. The plan is just to drive it for the time beeing, nothing in the budget to put into it at the moment. The 95 and the R6 would probably have to go before fun money could be allocated to the GTA currently. I still dream about big Poncho power and a T-56 for it. But realistically, even a stock LT1 / 6-speed combo would be a lot of fun for it. |

Coolness Jess! Like Gambino said we were just talking about your GTA Saturday night at the track. I always loved the black/gold combo.

305 Stock auto, 5-speed conversion. Black on grey leather, t-tops, analog dash (my preference), 3.27 posi rear, air foil, Eibach springs, Hedman headers & y-pipe. STB, Wonder bar, Adj. LCA's & Panhard bar (all poly) Think that sums up the performance goodies.
A stock LT1 that isn't beeing used to power my 95 would be ideal
Its nice driving again, the woman and I will probably take it for a twisty ride up Chuckanut drive this week |

Is this the same car you had at the SIR test and tune gathering several years ago? It was pretty nice (for a Firebird). j/k _________________ '86 Trans Am - 5.0L TPI - LT1 cam - 700R4 - WS6

Yup, that was a while ago. When I had it on the track, it was still sporting a slush box. |
