I'm pondering the idea of putting a stripe around the body of the car on the top edge of the GFX kit. Will the 85-87 style stripe fit on my 92. I'm also thinking about putting my old emblems back on (beat up as they are) and applying a vinyl sticker over top of them to look close to original. My choice of color is silver or reflective white (which will pass as light silver), the stripe will be the same color with with black on the bottom. I like the way the car looks as is, but am curious as to what it would look like with the purple broken up a bit. _________________ 92 Camaro

I don't think you need it. It's a sharp car as is. NICE and clean.
I have IROC-Z door decals that I never put on. Kind of a general consensus of the clean. |

| I like the idea of a reflective stripe (not a large one). I had a black 1980 Capri that I put a red reflective stripe in the body molding (about 1" tall), looked real good, especially at night. I may do it with the rocker and bumper emblems anyhow, put the old beat up ones back in and apply reflective vinyl stickers (which look close to factory) over top. |

i am all for returning the emplems to original in apperence. i think the ones you have on ther now kind of detract from the cars overall appearence.
what kind of a stripe do you want to roll? i can photoshop it in for ya. not well, but enough to give you an idea. |

However tall the 85-87 stripe was (2-color, black on the bottom) along the top edge of the GFX. The one that fits under the park light without a cut out.
Here's a picture that shows the GFX lines, though the color isn't that great due to the overcast. Let me know if you want it bigger and I'll e-mail it to you. Use black & white since I want to go with the reflective color.

ok, it's nothing fancy. i made a white stripe (grey actualy, the white looked goofy) with a smaller black stripe above it in the location that i remember the 85-87 stripe (like on chris' brlinetta)
hope this gives you a good idea. i am not as good at PS as some members of the board
BTW the more i see these wheels the more and more i like them. they realy set the car off. when i saw them in the garage i had my doubts, but a shiny purple car realy pulls off chrome well. they would look out of place on most Camaros, but yours realy pulls it off well. nice job. _________________ 86' firebird (Junked in 2015). 88' GTA (sold in 2020).

Thanks Tony, I was thinking the other way around with the black on the bottom and the two colors equal witdth. Not sure if I like it yet, its something that may have to be done first and then get used to. I am going to change the emblems to something more 3rd gen. |

| well, vynal comes off. it's not like you will "ruin" your car or anything. just waste some $ if you don't like it. i personaly am a fan of a monochromatic car, but the stripes might be one of those things that will look good once i see it. |

I'm with paul. Your car is so clean, I think adding the stripe will just make it look busy.

| Thanks guys, after looking it over, I think you're right. Would look good only if the GFX was a different color and only to break up the transition. |

| it will only win 90s modified because you can't enter it in 90s stock. otherwise you might be in atleast the top 3 for that catagory. though without those wheels i don't know if you would win. |
