I am having problems with the ignition. I turn the key to the off position, but it takes about 30 seconds for the car to turn off. The original tumbler was bad so i replaced it thinking it was the problem. I put the new tumbler in and the same thing happens. It's never done this before until now. Does anyone know whats wrong? _________________ 85 Z28, 383 Stroker, TH350 tranny, Richmond 4.10 gears, dual exhaust

I found the problem. When i wired my fuel pump and electric fan, i ran them all into the ignition spot on the fuse block. The car wouldn't shut off because the current from the fan was keeping the engine running. everything is working fine now. _________________ 85 Z28, 383 Stroker, TH350 tranny, Richmond 4.10 gears, dual exhaust

Yep. The way I have my fans piggy backed, the inertia of the first fan pulls current through the relay keeping the other fan on. When the first fan slows down, the 2nd fan shuts off. Kind of neat.
Could say it's my intercooler mod! |

| Gm actually had this same screwup on their trucks. Seems the heater fan spun fast enough to charge the ignition on the late 90s trucks. Kept the truck running. They had a TSB out for it. |
