i need one of two things
1.somone to help me with my "fake cat" idea. hollow a cat and make a cut in the top to allow it to go a little bigger then 3". hammer a 3" pipe through the middle. weald it together. looks like a cat.... but it's not. this is cool becasue my car WILL pass emmissions w/o a cat. (but i need to have one for visual)

2. somone to flange fit my flowmaster.

i can't do the wealding myself (due to lack of equip.)but would be happy to drive to a crewbies place and pay you to do it for me. Smile if anyone want's to help me out with one or both that would be cool. thanks.

Considering the shop can be fined something like $10,000, and the employee can lose his job, over something like this. It is no suprise the shop didn't want to touch it.

It's a $25k fine actually. However, most places will do anything from the cat back even if its missing. Surprised they didnt.

It's WELD, not WEALD.

Or WELDER, not WEALDER.

Very Happy

Call around. The local shop here has a poster saying it's $5000 for them for tampering with a cat.

I couldn't get anyone to weld my s10's exhaust without a bribe, so I just put a cat on it.

I didn't know you readily wanted to change mufflers like oil lol. I LOVE my hooker. I started with flowmasters.

the main issue i am having with the hooker is that i need to totaly re-do the hangers AND get longer pipes to make it work right. and i don't want lame ass chrome tips. i much prefer the look of my single flat black 3" out. i also liked the sound of the flowmaster alot better. but that may change now that it is all 3". maybe i'll just try and do it myself tomorow. see what i can get done. i guess all i realy need is to go buy a flange and tack it in place. then i can go in and say "make this welded" and they can finish the job. in fact... that is the plan! i will tack it on and then remove the tack-flanged flowmaster... drive my car sans muffler to the exhast shop. take my flowmaster out of the trunk and walk it in there and say "weld it". it's not on the car, it's not a problem. Twisted Evil

They'll weld anything off car.... as long as they don't know what it's use is. Otherwise say its for some pre 70's truck or something.

Tony, what all brackets did you need again? Tell me the size of the bolts and I can get them off on one of my lunches.

since i have decided to re-use my flowmaster i won't need any of your bracketry. however if you wanted to get it for me anyway that would be cool. incase i ever want to switch back. i need the bracket that holds the left tailpipe up and the one that holds the right tailpipe up.
