Hey Merle, if you really need some LCA brackets I am pretty sure Mr Cheez sells them.

When I was up at his place he showed me one of prototypes, I think he said he was gonna start selling them.

they are better than spohns, i am selling mine and putting his on.

right now he isn't selling them, mine will be set #2, and i beleive we are going to make sure they work, and fit both our cars and last a bit before he sells them. you might want to check with him though.

Well... I know what they do.. (idiot eric time)

But why would you need to relocate your control arms?

to get better rear geometry, it aids in traction. it all comes down to the anti-squate properties, with the right geomety it drives the rear into the ground, instead of away from the ground. this is especialy needed if you car has been lowered, you need the brackets to even get back to the stock setting.

So they basically do what traction bars would? To a minor degree at least?

in some ways, but traction bars are to control leaf spring rears, this has to with the the way the parts move as torque is applied.

I lowered my car and when you do that it puts the control arm at a different angle and makes the car get wheel hop. The brackets put the lower control arm back in the correct angle when the car is lowered. The control arm is supposed to be parallel with the ground or maybe sloping down towards the rear a little. When the car is lowered, they slope up towards the rear and causes wheel hop.

Woah! Thought this post was about Spohn stuff! Shocked

Here's what Dewey is talking about. Not exactly for sale yet but if Dewey's set works out well then they will be. The first set made (which Eric saw) is on my car already which is lowered 3" (can stick 2 fingers in the gap). The bottom hole lowers 3.25". I've had them on about 2 months and they're doing fine, and no I do not baby the car. Twisted Evil

Computer engineered, laser cut, and powdercoated. 50% lighter than Spohn's yet good to 900 ft-lbs of torque(try hooking that up on a 10-bolt) assuming 3.42 rear with 2.95 1st gear ratios. Good stuff!

John, I got the precision jig stuff made. Parts are going to the welder on Wed, then off to powdercoat. The much too long wait is almost over. Cool
