89 GTA:

* Very stubborn to start, especially when cold.
* Strange grinding/vibrating sound coming from towards the rear passenger side of the engine bay when accelerating.
* Power antenna doesn't work.
* Wiring is getting fubared on the stereo.
* Steering wheel controls are pooping out.
* Hi-beam is quirky on one of the headlights.
* Driver's seat is a little torn.
* Retractor on the front passenger seat is busted, shoulder belt won't retract.
* Clock radios sound better than my stereo.
* Brakes are a bit too soft.
* Still puffs out a cloud of colored smoke during a cold start, even though I had the valve guide seals replaced a year and a half ago.
* 140 miles to 12 gallons of gas.
* Rear defroster seems to suck up a lot of amps.
* Paint is peeling off (paint jobs are expensive :sad2: ).
* All the LS1 guys make fun of me, and that makes me sad. Sad

Someone posted this pic and made me sad too. Sad

Heh.. making this kinda post is just gonna make you want to get rid of your car even more. Wink

But, I'll play along. Honestly the only thing I dislike about my "car" is the lack of fuel injection... but I plan on doing something about that.

*Looks at Mark*

The only things i hate about my car is the exhaust leak, the poor gas milage (12city, 20highway) and the horrible vibration i get when exceeding 120MPH. lol

Oh yeah, and the auto (going bad) is getting a bit boring. Time for that 6spd! Very Happy

Cruise control stopped working. Sad
Headlights shorted out somewhere so now I have them on a toggle switch.
Front end got a little bent up so need a new fascia and paint (along with paint goes the small dings barely noticable in her body).
My little sister broke my mint condition dash pad, otherwise almost flawless interior vise faded carpeting in places.....ohhh, wait, the headliner is starting to sag too. Sad
STILL haven't put in that Eaton Posi I got from Paul, so I have a small problem with peglegs.

Other than that, she's in tip-top shape! Runs like a champ (could always be faster) and handles like it's on rails (that could always be better too, but great enough for now).

Oh, and I still don't have my SFC's in yet, that is DEFINITELY a dislike. Mad

Hey Roger, don't forget to take pictures of the inside of the rear when you pop off the cover!! I really want to see what was going "Thump, thump, thump" when I was driving!

Probably ring gear teeth FUBAR'ed, at least that's my bet!

Peace, shorty! (playin' handball against the side of dimes yet?) Very Happy

Uh.....

cruise control died while in storage.

"service engine" light comes on when the car starts. Run the engine 5 minutes, turn it off. Start engine after 30 seconds, and no light.

DS rear end is 3/4's of an inch lower than the right. Sway bar struts too tight?

My drivers side headlight decides to quit working now and then too. i have to bring it up manually. Then it doesn't go back down right away (about an hour later it does). Sometimes it does it, sometimes it doesn't. I need to dig into this one.

Also, my intermittent wiper goes in and out (similar to the headlight, actually). Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt.

Sounds like your wiper motor is going bad.

....As with my car.

Cosmetic
-Paint is horrible, both the stock paint and my rattle can job
-Got a lot of dings and dents I still need to fix.
-Front fascia is not currently on car
-The rims are ugly as sin
-The t-tops leak... horribly.
-The interior is really really really reallu really dirty.

Internal
-Electric short somwhere and the radio and no interior lights. The antannea doesnt go up, power locks dont work (probably due to leak)
-Automatic tranny is no longer in car, and i have no money for my 6speed.
-The engine is completely disconnected, but I dont have an engine lift or a 350 to replace it with
-The suspension is really really old and bushings are pretty much non exsistent

But, I love workin on the damn thing. Best car I ever had.

That's beautiful!!!

....And I think that about sums up ALL of our cars; no matter their problems, they are only skin deep, beauty is all on the inside!.....metaphorically speaking, of course. Smile

Busted the rocker stud on #1 exhaust cylinder. Snapped off inside the poly lock. Fortunately no other damage to the head/valvetrain. Cheap ass studs apparently on the AFR heads. Here comes ARP to the rescue.

On the positive side it makes lots of nice popping noises and blew my intake gasket too.

Bonus!
