What up Crew peeps! if there is still anyone around...

Quick update, Wife and I have been chilling on Maui for the past 2 yrs, bought a small 2 bdrm condo, (anyone want to come visit just say the word), probably not moving back anytime soon, had a turbo Miata, got wrecked, got a fatty insurance payout, bought a cruiser jeep wrangler, just adopted a dog. That pretty much sums it up.

Betty has been in the very capable and responsible hands of my brother-in-law Rob for the past 2.5 years while i have been running around in Aloha Land. Now he is getting married and his pre-wife wants a place to park her car (how rude). So Betty has to go. The question is where? Do I bury the hatchet, sell it, and move on? or sell my Jeep, and have her follow in the footsteps of Captain Cook and sail to the Sandwich Isles?

It is pure torture out here without it... There are too many tourists who try to be Magnum PI in their rental mustang convertibles and local idiots who's definition of sportscar = boosted civic or TRD tacoma. There is some serious attitude adjusting that needs to happen.

~JAKE

PS I'll be in Seattle for this wedding if anyone wants to go grab a late night brewskie on Sept 1st or 2nd. Hit me up.

You will regret not having her, the day you sell it. I'm just saying...

I'd put her on a boat. But I'd try to find some way to not sell the jeep. I don't think you'd want it as a daily anymore. But they're great for occasional trips to work and weekend fun.

Some thoughts:

You were/are afraid to bring the Camaro the the island for fear it will rust out, which is a legitimate issue. If it was rusted out you could not drive and enjoy it, however you do not currently drive and/or enjoy it, so what't the point?

Are you really going to look back fondly in ten years to that time you drove the Barbie Jeep to the beach after work? (This fake question is mostly designed to tease Brandon, and is not intended as an insult to you or your Jeep.)

You are asking Camaro yay-hoos if you should drive your Camaro or not, which tells me that you already know what you want and that this obvious foregone conclusion is a mere technicality. I think if you wanted to keep the Jeep you would have posted this question on a Jeep forum.

LMAO Aaron. You guys are awesome, and yes Aaron, of course i always wanted to keep it. So the most important piece to the whole puzzle has now fallen into place... The wife has said even she would rather have the camaro than the jeep. so enough said! HAHA!

The good news is i'd only have to rely on the camaro about 2 times a month (lets hope it can manage that...) Sarah and I work the same hours and our offices are only 2 blocks apart (its a small island) so we carpool in the Honda 95% of the time.

Looking forward to blasting up and down the Maui dragstrip once a month.

You live in Maui and you have a drag strip? You suck. Razz

I live in vicinity of the race capital of the world and there isn't a 1/4 mile strip anywhere near me. Rolling Eyes

I had a hard time believing it too! Maui raceway park is actually pretty legit. Its a full paved 1/4 mile that crosses a sugar cane field! HAHA! Its got timing, lights, grandstands, staging areas, and a pretty big runoff. We also have a circle dirt track and a 1/2 mile go kart track.

Lots of boosted civics, but a few fox bodies and some old/new school muscle.

New idea: sell both and buy a Magnum P.I.-esque cigar boat.

I'm a little late to the party (story of my life) but I'd either ship Betty or give her to me. Cool
