1984 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28

This thing runs and drives like it's brand new. All the rattles, squeaks and leaks of your 25 year old thirdgen? This one does not have them. Smile All the electronics started working better as I drove it. Buttons were working all over the place!

Things that remain broken:
1. There is a SuperTramp tape that is stuck in the broken tape player. Sketchy.
2. No dome light worky?
3. No cruise control.
4. Shift button is missing. My thumb is beginning to hurt from shifting with a sharp little nub.

Things that function much better than expected:
1. Wipers. They now turn on, and even off! On was my only option before. Stupid pushbuttons started working better after I performed some 'percussive maintenance'.
2. LG4/700R4. Engine, smooth as butter. Torquey. Transmission, crisp and clean. Works as expected. Me surprised? Yes.
3. Suspension, A/C and window seals. Smooth, cold and not leaky.
4. Digi-Dash: Frickin amazingly cool and fully functional.

It has a bit of a rat rod look to it with my wheels sitting on that rusty body.

I am seriously falling in love with this car just from the 30 mile ride home.

I'm definitely still selling it. I just liked it on the drive home from Seattle. Razz

Gotta swap interiors first, then I'll get rid of it.

If that was a t-top car I'd buy it from you.

But it's not, so it may as well be scrap metal to me. Razz

Even though I am torn both ways, I think I will let someone else deal with the paintjob on this car. The simple fact of the matter is I am not out to make money on this one. I've owned my Z for a long time, its got a lot of memories and a lot of personal connections to me. I just wanted to grab this so I can make the Z a little nicer. I wouldn't love this Berlinetta enough to spend all that time and effort fixing it up only to sell it to make a couple bucks. There's better cars and better deals for that. Especially when I dislike body work so much. Razz

It seems like you're really hot to trot on this one, John. Every post telling me to keep it you're hot on the trail telling me to sell it to you... Maybe I should raise my price a bit... Laughing

If it was a t-top car I wouldn't have bought it in the first place since the interior would have been ruined by now. Razz
