Am I revealing too much by saying that is not the first time I've seen someone do that type of conversion to an E30? |

I can see Ian's thought process...
"I want to haul parts, but...... I don't want to drive something that handles like dogsh*t."
Then this was built. Lol |

Actually think that's an awesome way to learn sheet metal work. Reminds me of building frankenvelle. Pieces of this welded to pieces of that. By the time he's done his next project oughta come out sweet. |

Thank goodness for a fresh page with smaller pictures. Couldn't read a damn thing without 25x zoom. |

I thought Steven's had more snow that we did. We got some new snow this week, there might be a chance of decent conditions.
Need to do something to get myself in shape. So far I have committed myself to some 9000 miles worth of motorcycle trips this year. That is a lot of time riding a bike in a roughly 4 week period. yikes. |

I been working. 70 hrs a week.
I been playing with cool new rifles too. Got a springfield trapdoor in 45-70 made in 1883, casting lead bullets and shooting at imaginary buffalo.
Camaro is still rolling along, no better, no worse.
Landing gear waiting patiently for me to build it and install on pietenpol. _________________ Killing mailboxes since 2009 |

I still have the Yota! I know, it's a surprise to me as well.
I did sell that other F-150 I bought due to never driving it. |

Yup!
It also had a Jesus fish glued to the dashboard.
Jesus, of course, having been all about killing people with guns.
It was a decent enough truck, but I put 2K miles on it in eight months, so keeping it around was a losing proposition once insurance was factored in.
Also I got $500 more than I paid for it. |

Wait wait wait. Time out.
You had Jesus' fishing truck that he also, coincidentally used when he went on at least one of his well publicised shooting sprees. And this Uber cool relic of conservatism was up on the auction block, and you didn't call me?
Dude, I thought we were tight. I Coulda maybe offered a hippy a hybrid, yes that's right I've got a hybrid in the stable. Now what's a gun toting (read that as 'mass murdering') far right wing wacko to do with a hybrid.
60 mpg is pretty sweet though...in a not-a-sbc kinda way. _________________ Killing mailboxes since 2009 |

A hybrid beats the heck out of a Not-Honda any day.
I honestly have never understand the hybrid hate, especially among hot rodders. It is a five person hatchback that is quiet, comfortable, reasonably priced and gets 60 miles per gallon. That is exactly what the vast majority of people in this country need in a vehicle.
Yet here people are going "Hurr drurr buy a V8!" because what America needs is more oil consumption and more power in the hands of incompetent drivers. |

This hybrid is not a hatchback. If it was I wouldn't have bought it.
The "hate" disdain is a better word though, is where the technology has been allowed to be co-opted by the left. I blame toyota and their hatchback for allowing that to happen. It has happened to such a degree that driving a fuel efficient car has turned into a political statement. One I don't necessarily agree with. So much so, that this not non-honda not only has some earth feel good crap slogan on the valve cover, but also gives me an "eco rating" when I turn it off.
F you not non-honda, it's about a nice car with good mileage, not about saving the spotted humming tortoise.
Paper or plastic? Deforestation or war for oil. Some choice.
battery or gas? Poison ground water for the next generation, or drill baby drill. I'll poison my grandkids for the payoff of four greeny leaves from not non-honda thank you very much. _________________ Killing mailboxes since 2009 |

And by the way, no a prius does not beat the heck out of an acura. A prius doesn't beat the heck out of the rear row of seats on a transcontinental greyhound trip.
And that's an opinion you may feel free to disagree with. You will anyway. _________________ Killing mailboxes since 2009 |

I don't dislike hybrids. I just don't want any of the cars they come in.
I do work with people that drive a lot going to and from work and need to conserve money. None of them drive a hybrid. The economics worked in favor of a cheap econo car every time. Balance might change for big city dwellers that don't log a lot of miles. |
