I am interested.. missed Cows this year and would be fun to get together. I can't commit to a date right now because of variability in work travel but I will monitor this and participate if I can.
Thanks Tony!

Looks interesting. I'd say maybe bring it up the coast line a bit on your loop, then find a route that isn't i5 to keep the time around the same? Excessive interstate is kinda boring imho. _________________ A redline a day keeps the carbon away! |

That's a great idea. Any chance we will see you down here? I have no problems cruising with an RX7.
EDIT*
I can actually share a link with the exact route. I think this was added with the recent update to googlemaps. here is another proposed route that would allow us to visit the Wet Dog Cafe, a past favorite.

I shouldn't have a problem with any of those dates. They all fall between the two big bike rides I have this summer. As a crew, we haven't done a cruise of significant distance in some time, sounds like a good idea to me. _________________ 92 Camaro

Crew,
I have updated the top post with an attendance poll, and full details of the cruise. The only thing I might want to change at this point is I might switch the Portland-Astoria leg to a more twisty route through the hills. We can decide on this later. It only adds about 20 minutes.
Please vote up top so we can track attendance and post below about how excited you are about the cruise, so other members will be insane with jealousy, and decide they want to come too. |

The camaro is a no go, but depending on weather and time, maybe I'll break one of the bikes out for this. If I do that on a motorcycle, are there going to be random stops along the route, so i can stretch my legs and such?
or i might hitch a ride with Schultzy. |

I am planning on stopping in Astoria and Tillamook. Additional stops can of course be added in. Hitching a ride was also something I had planned on a few 3rd gen-less folks doing. |

Good news is I won't be in Minnesota. Bad news is that it looks like the wifey has me down in Medford that weekend.
Looking forward to a get together soon. Might have to revert to our old ways and just plan a good ol dinner meet and greet.
thanks for organizing this one Tony! Sorry I can't make it.

I put in for, and have that Friday off. Not sure though if I'll make this yet. Another long bike ride coming up with two hotel stays and a return train ride home, money will be tight. Also need the weekends for training rides. Riding from Seattle to Vancouver, BC in mid August, and they say it's tougher than the STP I just finished.... _________________ 92 Camaro

Steering replaced.
Struts replaced.
All four brakes redone.
All set, and looking forward to it. Heck, even got a new coat of primer going on. _________________ Killing mailboxes since 2009 |

Not really.
It's still tri-colored. Only fresh primer where there was old primer. I guess a few new spots too. This sucker oughta be ready for top coat in 2096. _________________ Killing mailboxes since 2009 |
