I love my dinosaur rock but lately it's getting stale. What is the latest and bestest new music out there that ROCKS.

Post it up!

Thanks,

I've always though Weezer was pretty good. Check out "We're All on Drugs" and "Beverly Hills" for their recent stuff. The true gold is the older (90's) stuff like "Buddy Holly", "Island in the Sun", "Hash Pipe", "Say It Ain't So" and "Sweater".

The Killers are pretty good, and I'm starting to get in to System of a Down. BYOB is a wicked song, but the lyrics are bit too politically charged for my liking. And its not new, but the Linkin Park/Jay-Z CD was pretty friggin good.

For your required Canadian content, get some Matthew Good (Apparitions, Hello Timebomb, Everything is Automatic, Load Me Up). Once again, not new, but definately not dinosaur rock Razz

Megaherz - Wer Bist Du (if you like Rammstein)
Megaherz - Himmelfahrt (again, if you like Rammstein)
Mudvayne - The End of All Things to Come
Slipknot - Vol 3 (Subliminal Verses)
Avenged Sevelfold - City of Evil
In Flames - Soundtrack To Your Escape
Cradle of Filth - Nymphetamine

I actualy haven't been too impressed with 'new' stuff. Of that you might check out

- Killers (already mentioned, and I know you had my CD for a while)
- Franz Ferdinand
- Interpole
- Gorillaz (this is a good cd, a little dark, and not sure if it would be your cup of tea or not. Download "Feel Good Inc.", that will give you a feel.)
- Kings of Leon
- The Transplants

Of course, if you are buying some new CD's, the stuff from a few years ago is great.

Both albums by Disturbed (Beleive, and The Sickness)
The first two albums by System of the Down (Self Titled, Toxicity)
Rammstein - Pretty much anything by them is good, Sehnsucht or Mutter would be the ones I would get.
Offspring - Smash (everyone should own this album.)
Anything by AFI :nods:, their new CD Sing The Sorrow (2003) is really good.
Jimmy Eat World
Bad Religion
White Zombie - Astro Creep 2000 (you may have this already) and La Sexorcisto

and everyone should own at least one album by the Bloodhound Gang Wink Wink

I think Rammsteins more recent album tops out Mutter, Herezelied and Sehnsucht ... Reise, Reise ... damn good album.

and Demon Days by Gorillaz is definitely a good one

Guero, by Beck, is also a good album Surprised

Hellacopters and Backyard Babies. Two swedish bands that are just straight up rock and roll.

Mike Ness is also pretty sweet, it is like down-trodden swing music.

They can get a little heavier than that song. It's like a gothed out Evanescence.

Good stuff though.
