What is the hot ticket for 3rd gens when it comes to steering linkages? I'm going to freshen up the steering in my car (whether it needs it or not). Also thinking of going to quick ratio box since wide tires like to dart on road grooves.

A friend suggested the Moog Problem Solver kit. He's not a 3rd gen guy so I want to bounce it off you guys.

Thanks!

I won't go so far as to suggest I know what's "good" but I will offer up what parts I used in my build:

Quick ratio box from a 245 car (so narrow stops)
Old-style TDS wonderbar from Mike
Moog centerlink, idler arm and tierod ends (four total)
Coleman racing tierod sleeves w/jam nuts as championed by Dewey

IIRC if you buy the Moog kit you get shoehorned into the stamped steel sleeves, so I bought individually.

^^^

+ either the UE Rag joint eliminator kit or the Jeep Cheroke steering shaft/Astro van bearing.

And over any of that, you'd want to decide how low you're going. Smile

Are you bragging about it, or selling it?

Would sell. I might have the jam nuts too. I'll dig around when I get a chance.
