Ok so i have the 7730 ecm speed density tuned port. I have a 91 305 prom but i have the Aujp chip on it. About every 2-3 weeks the prom fails code 51. Am i doing something wrong when i burn the chip or is my ecm bad? This is like the 4th time its happened

Two different ones. Think maybe the chip is done?

Chip is kinda dumb. Never heard one "go bad" over time of use. Excess of burns yeah, or just stops yeah. But never I burned it and it was fine for a month.

I'd be leaning ECM.

Which chips are you using?

You try removing and reinstalling the chip/adapter etc and key on again? Eliminate bad connnection?

i swapped to another chip with the aujp on it and it worked but that chip that i swapped was the one that went bad on the dyno, so im thinkin ecm now

They're obsolete and discontinued. I have one or two of Paul's that I need to return to him, since I don't need chips any more.

Even if they're not, you're only out $7! Very Happy
