Ok so i have the 7730 ecm speed density tuned port. I have a 91 305 prom but i have the Aujp chip on it. About every 2-3 weeks the prom fails code 51. Am i doing something wrong when i burn the chip or is my ecm bad? This is like the 4th time its happened _________________

Two different ones. Think maybe the chip is done? _________________

Chip is kinda dumb. Never heard one "go bad" over time of use. Excess of burns yeah, or just stops yeah. But never I burned it and it was fine for a month.
I'd be leaning ECM.
Which chips are you using?
You try removing and reinstalling the chip/adapter etc and key on again? Eliminate bad connnection? _________________ A redline a day keeps the carbon away! |

im using the SST 27S512 chips. i ordered a new ecm tho so gonna swap that out in the morning
i swapped to another chip with the aujp on it and it worked but that chip that i swapped was the one that went bad on the dyno, so im thinkin ecm now _________________

They're obsolete and discontinued. I have one or two of Paul's that I need to return to him, since I don't need chips any more. _________________ 92 Camaro

Even if they're not, you're only out $7! _________________ '86 Trans Am - 5.0L TPI - LT1 cam - 700R4 - WS6
