Got her done. Weighs in at a whopping 16lbs!

When I built the exhaust I didn't figure in a safety loop like Mike's, so I had to angle the bar to make it clearance.

Damn! That's why It didn't back out of the driveway! Laughing

Drove it around, looks like I might need to adjust the trans height up a bit. Need to get down there with the angle finder.

Nothing broke! Hopefully the driveshaft doesn't either, but if it does it holds.

Exactly like that spohn for the most part. Welds were sweet too. Made several passes for strength!

Time for some sticky stickies

I have a magnetic angle finder if you are in need.

It's a cross member with built in driveshaft safety loop. Picture your front Ujoint giving out while heading down the dragstrip. The front of hte driveshaft falls and hits the ground.

Thirdgen turns into medevil weapon called "catapult" Laughing

That looks great Paul.

I gotta do one of those too, if I ever decide to get off of my duff and work on the thing again. Mine will be easier though, think I'm going to attach the loop right to the torque arm.

Add to this that people need to appreciate how hard it is too make a cross member for these cars with all of the differant angles. Surprised

Thanks Rod.

Definitely hard to make.

Especially on your back! I thought about welding it to the T/A but who knows how long I'll remain with the stocker. Don't think I feel up for making my own. Not that good of a fabricator yet.
