Usually.. unless they've been replaced..
I hate this question. I've even ran into cars with a different size on each wheel. Or even torx on one and regular on the other. |

I've seen the one-replaced thing too. Makes me wonder if one busted or wore out and it didn't occur to them that the other might be close behind. |

C'mon, people are cheap and never want to replace things in pairs like they should.
$150 a piece wheel bearing hubs, however, I understand doing just the one LOL _________________ A redline a day keeps the carbon away! |

Not that its necessarily stock for Camaro calipers, but 10MM is another common size for caliper bolts. I just replaced front calipers on my car this past weekend. Both LH and RH calipers are rebuilds from the same company-- 1 has an 8mm bleeder and the other has a 10mm. lol _________________ 1988 GTA, 5.3/T56 in the works. |

Be careful.
10mm is the metric = to 3/8" but in the Allen world, they both fit, but one fits tighter and is cause for less chance of stripping the hex out. _________________ A redline a day keeps the carbon away! |

3/8" is smaller by about half a mil. Doesn't sound like much but the reduction in contact area between the tool and fastener is huge.
If he could fit the 10mm hex in there he has the right tool, though. Wouldn't fit otherwise.
Right tool for the job, as they say.
BTW, just wait till you get into late 90's GM motors with standard and metric fasteners on the same part. Or metric bolts with standard heads on them. Then you'll be scratching your noggin. |

Are you sure they arent just one of the sizes that interchange.. 13mm-1/2, 14-9/16, 16-5/8s etc.. ?
The one that gets me now, all the pipe fittings are changing over to metric hex's. Screwey to have a 3/8" pipe fitting thread with a 15mm hex. |

No metric directly interchanges. 5/16" to 8mm is almost exact. 5/8" to 16mm and 1/2" to 13mm are close as well. 14mm is smaller than 9/16" by about a third of a mil. and they go downhill from there.
Also depends greatly on what tool you're using. I have a lot more faith in a nice six point Proto that's the wrong size vs. some sh***y Chinese 12 point with who-knows-what for manufacturing tolerances.
I've noticed the pipe fitting thing as well. I actually tweaked one once because I just assumed it was 5/8". |

I used to interchange alot of the sizes until i went to snap on tools, then suddenly they dont fit anymore. |
