I guess I mean, if I have motor will I have to redo tyranny, rear, and suspention. And all my typing is on phone, so I try to be brief

That tyranny upgrade is the worst...

Travis will expound on this but you will need a new trans (and appropriate crossmember), new motor mounts, might have to clearance firewall in some places.

All of this so you can have a 250 horse smogger truck motor in a car that's already overweight.

Ya. Perhaps not worth it. I was also thinking small block 400. What trans for that? Turbo 350?

Castiing numberbs seem to be right on block. I didn't check heads. But is already bored 30 over and he says needs another bore, so don't know about that.

Hmm? What??? 454 big block?? Easy peasy! Stock small block engine mounts, single electric fan, v8 radiator, and a 700r4 or th400 and the driveline to match. Get the log style cast manifolds. Hardest part is the 454 pan is huge so get the chevelle 4quart. Other than the exhaust, everything is easy. Even with a smog cam, 260hp 360tq at the wheel.

All the extra length of the big block goes forward of the bellhousing. I had to take the dizzy cap off when I installed it but the HEI cap fits with no firewall mods. The window wiper motor has to be removed during installation too but it fits fine afterwards with a stock height cover. I have some tall covers that won't fit unless I move or reclock the wiper motor. Lemon makes a long tube header but it's around $800. The stock cast manifolds fit just fine. And if you use a T56, ture duals is the best way to go.

Over all a simple swap unless you want to run fuel injection.

L36 went quick. So back to 454. 260 to the rear doesn't sound so bad. Torque though. Can my rear handle it? No funny jokes please.

As long as that's ^^^^ all you're doing it should last just fine.
