That's been around for a while, entertaining none the less. He would have been much better off with a posi rear end in that car. As it was, that one wheel was probably sinning about twice as fast as the speedometer indicated, that's more likely the reason it blew.

That is an old one. Was he in the top of second or third? I'm guessing that tire was going well over 120 mph. Heat plus crappy tire plus speed equals BOOM! Lol.

Haha, I posted that here years ago. The tire wasn't excessively worn, it was just a cheapo. Plus, as Al mentioned, with his one-tire fire it was going twice as fast as his speedo.
