OK guys, I finally passed, with everything being well below the allowed. Not sure why all the fluctuation, but I got my new tags and everything! Thanks guys for all the help.

Tried again, drove it hard for like a half hour, kept it nice and hot in line, and it did even worse, with like double the hydrocarbons and way to high CO and CO2..

It's a carbed 2.8L V6. It's about 5 miles or so to the test station, and I keep it in like 2nd gear the whole way pretty much so around 3000 rpms the whole way there, and I keep it around 2000 in line ...

So, both the shop and I are confused. It passes way below at the shop, but by the time I take it to DEQ, it fails again.

Was floating around 3000 for hydrocarbons before I took it in, latest was 32 ...

UPDATE AGAIN: shop said like 2 cylinders weren't firing at all, which I guess explains the high hydrocarbons. Not sure the cause of that problem yet, shop still working on it. Once that gets fixed, I' ...

UPDATE: Got the new cat on (Thanks for it btw), swapped out the carb, changed the oil, ect, my tester says it's looking pretty good, gonna take it to DEQ this week, hopefully it passes, as this will b ...
