Actually the volt gauge shouldn't die. On my 3rd gen (86), it's actually run from the power buss that feeds the dash panel. There is no specific wire that supports the volt gauge.

I have an '86 H motor that needs a tune up badly.
Maybe a new carb too, but I want a good mechanic that someone here has used. I'm OK with anyplace between Seattle and Salem!

Lights are inop, all fuses test OK, but no power to the bulb.
This is a 2.8 with 5sp and I am unable to locate any information on the location of the backup light switch.
Any info appreciated.

Car is an 86 Camaro, 305 4bbl, auto, t-tops and currently grey.
The 3rd light is at the top of the glass hatch, and I'm not a fan of that. I'd like the spoiler mounted light.
